I played this game when I was like 5. I didn't understand any english back then so I didn't knew that you selected missions at the computers. I just did it to change the music. Amazing soundtrack!

Back in the day you had to choose between purchasing the SEGA GENESIS or the SNES cartridge. And I must say that the SNES version was FAR superior than the GENESIS version (better graphics, sound, weapons and gameplay) and I can say this, cuz I had both. Thanx for the upload, man! :D

This does have good graphics, but the genesis Alien 3 is just as scary and has tighter / fastergameplay and level design. The genesis music is also better orchestrated than these monotonous samples. This SNES version does have a few touches from the movie I like though...It is hard to see the objective of this game.

@stealthgear The one thing that bugged me about the Mega Drive game though, was that in each mission, you have to rescue hostages. That's not a bad thing, 'cause this one does too, but in the Mega Drive one, it's the same mission over and over again. Here, there's some variety. But hey, if you like the Mega Drive one more, then that's cool, but this is my favourite of the two.

I remember seeing this game first in an EGM magazine before it released and wanted it so bad. Photo-realistic digitized graphics, multi-scrolling backgrounds, CD quality stereo-soundtrack, and cool gameplay,what more could you ask for? Wasn't there a Batman Forever game that was pure shit, but also looked kind of awesome? I'll probably buy it anyway though and maybe even Street Fighter the Movie for Sega Saturn just for the nostalgia of 'em. Damn, I miss the 16-bit days. Great memories. :)

I was born in 93 so I barely remember anything about the SNES. My cousin had an Nes, a Sega Genesis and a Snes so if it weren't for him I wouldn't have ever played any of the games before the nintendo 64.

This was so much better than the Genesis version. This game is ass on the Genesis. On the other hand, Jurassic Park is ass on SNES and awesome on Genesis.

the way game over man is said in the game alien 3 for super nintendo,

may come across to player as though player is to think of game as being not serious. the player says, i most certainly don't think of game as being a joke, so why would i feel as though i'm being recognized as someone who thinks of the game like that? is it because i'm not playing seriously enough or is it because i'm not trying hard enough to avoid getting hurt by aliens? game has words the way it does for escape purpose.

better than the real Alien 3. i hope that one day they make an alternate sequel to Aliens that completely removes Alien 3 and Ressurection from the timeline. they'd have to get a new actor for Ripley, though, unless they use the "some aging in cryostasis" excuse again.

@GamesForumChannel1 eh, haven't seen that cut. still, while Alien 3 does have it's moments, it just falls flat compared to the rest of the series (even Resurrection was more enjoyable, imho). also, the dog!Alien just isn't very intimidating.

@Chernobog2 I didn't realize that the reason the alien looked different in that movie was because it came from a dog until I watched the special features. Then I felt kind of dumb for not noticing that.

@Tinfoil93 To be fair, the film doesn't make it all that clear. Ripley mentions that this one looks different, but she doesn't go into why, nor does she say anything to try and make the audience ask questions. Well, I don't think she did anyway :/

Nick Jones and I were excited to work on an Alien back then. However the movie was still in production and we didn't get to see an advance screening until midway through. We were both so bummed out that we decided to just ignore plot points, no weapons or the fact their was only 1 alien. Essentially just made aliens with the backdrop of alien 3.

Wow. This really is almost like a different game compares to the Sega Genesis version. Being 30 years old now, I used to froth at the mouth when I saw ALIEN 3 in video game magazines for SNES. I never got a chance to play it. Now I see the Sega Version and it looks horrid. Even for a sega game. The SNES version has some amazing effects and detail. The animation and colors are superior as usual. Great background and level design. I love the parallax movement.

@yinyengz515 yea me too. in many ways this is a quintessential "bad game" but the three things you mentioned, "the music, enemies, and ambiance" is what took this game from bad to fun. good? well, that's debatable. but i certainly have a soft spot in my heart for this game.
