  • so they didn't think to make getting the battery out easier for owners until 2000? my 98 has top postings & there is no visible way to get it out at first glance too many things in the way. FML

  • Thank you so much for your video!!!! I was at a loss on how to take the damn thing out.. I took my car to the auto parts store and of course they sold me the battery then told me they couldn't install it. After watching your video I have realized they sold me the wrong battery. OMG!!!! Back to the auto parts store i go.

  • Dude, all of that heavy breathing made me tired for you!...

  • how does car run? reliable? i heard they were junk..

  • @anthonyv6612 Sebring convertibles are "semi-junk". The older ones {1996-2000} are better since they have the Mitsubishi engine. I've been posting videos on various things to watch. One is aftermarket parts. Some electronic parts play havoc with the Chrysler engine management system.

  • @syyenergy7 my 98 seabring is worse than semi-junk excluding the engine, it seems to be okay, for now, but I won't be purchasing another.

  • @Karimoon1 Pretty much true. The 2001 & up the Chrysler built 2.7 engine is even worse. I post various tips on the 1996 - 2000. watch?v=Js76ITIUEeY

There are a number of minor tricks that will cure problems. They can even drive professional mechanics nuts.since a some things are more peculiar to Chrysler.

  • thanks

  • Thanks a lot. I would have gone nuts figuring this out. You made it a whole lot easier.

  • What tool did you use to take out the 7 screws?

  • @MrDarkknight21

a little late and im sure you figured it out by now but its just a phillips head

  • thanks man

and damn ima have to do alll that for the battery lmao -_-

  • Son of a bi...... I thought it was in the back seat. Good thing there's this video

  • Thank you for this video! Could not figure out where the darn thing was. Going out to take that bad boy out now! Appreciate your efforts and sharing.

  • @frankfan42

No problem. i put off replacing mine for quite a while because I'd heard someone else bitching about how hard it was. Once i figured it out i felt pretty stupid for having listened. I figured it was worth the trouble to put this up if only to show folks that its actually quite simple.

  • Und plötzlich habe ich Angst nach der Batterie zu sehen. Und dann muß es auch noch eine Special Batterie sein die nur bei Chrysler für teuer Euro zu haben sein wird. Ich habe Angst. LOL

  • Google translates your comment as follows...

"And suddenly I saw fear on the battery. And then it must also be a special battery, the only Chrysler for expensive euro h"

  • @BerryRhodan

die batterie im rad kasten umständlich verbaut , lol

erst rad ab , dan noch die plaste weg , dann is erst der weg zur batterie frei xD

  • wow that car must have been sitting for a while for the rotors to be rusty like that

  • good work! answered all my questions

  • i was just looking for the battery in my 2006 today, but couldnt find ot because of that cover. lol

im glad you figured out where its at.

what a dumb location for a battery though.

cant wait for the excuses from the autozone punk when i tell him i want him to install it for me... lol

  • @fibulator just changed one for a cust today the key is to be a nice person.

  • @triplenik you should do what the customer asks you to do. regardless if you are being asked in courteous manner or not. it's called professionalism. however, asking a crack-smoking loser who is mad at life because he has a shitty job to work at something as a delicate as a tire or battery might be pushing someone's luck.

however, i was getting a radiator yesterday and the first place i went wouldnt be able to get it the same day.i went to a different place and they got it after a couple hours

  • @fibulator yea thats a really bad idea "do what the customer asks you to do. "

just so ya know next time you go into any retail location you should be as demanding as possible, I can allways say I'm sorry sir but I don't know.

  • Nice work man. Answered all my questions as well.

  • Thanks for this video, You answered all my questions about replacing the battery.
