First I was like "Star Trek and Bon Jovi... wut?" But then this video absolutely blew me away. The music fit surprisingly well (I'm so stuck with the old cast in my head, but this song REALLY fits the "new" Kirk and Spock) and the editing was so clever and absolutely gorgeous! I'm in love <3

The song is perfect for this video. However, clips where you see the actors speaking (but cannot hear them) are very distracting in a music video. You'll find that the best vidders out there avoided it whenever possible. Just sometime to keep in mind next time! :)

Very nice editing job, and good job selecting the clips so they connect to the lyrics. The only problem is the way it seems the capture handled the aspect ratio by cutting off the top and bottom of the screen.

It's mostly the idea of seeing where it all truly began (personally, I LOVE the theme and that influences my enjoyment of some films). The time travel was a bit iffy (especially with the later Enterprise episode) and the Borg seemed a bit too easy to defeat. But I liked the film a lot.

Oh, I agree about the musical score. That's more important than people realize, as it really sets the tone and atmosphere, etc. of a film. I loved the theme of XI.

That was bloody good (barring the cock-up with the music at the very beginning). I can honestly see this being an official trailer if you'd had access to the film before the release date. I loved the comparisons of the characters in their past, present and, in Spock's case, future selves. This was a VERY well made video and you should be proud. Five stars.

I would not recommend watching the film from this particular copy. It's been significantly cut off on the sides and top. There were many cool scenes I could have put in the vid, but were unusable because hey, Spock's head has been cut off. Haha. So I imagine it'd be very irritating to try to watch as a film. Best to wait for the dvd. It will be glorious!
