I wish I'd thought it out a little better before I made this. In retrospect I think it would be better to allow all videos to be seen (unless put up on a special friends only filter) but in order for anyone to comment, reply or send a message they would need to subscribe. Would add some accountability I think and allow the account owner to have some control. Also we should be asked if it's ok for someone to subscribe.
Ive watched all your videos and never found anything negative. Even when you are talking about serious issues-you keep your personality in the video and you DONT turn it into something dull and depressing- or come across as a victim hungry for attention.You have the balance just right.

Hello. :) I know most will scoff at paying for youtube, but I think its a good idea. Paying for a youtube account would slow down the maliciousness because people wouldnt make so many accounts. They would take better care of the ones they do have and what they do with them. It would cut down on the fly-by haters and spamming for sure.
If someone does not have a thick skin or isn't willing suffer the inevitable crap that some idiots will spew they should not be putting videos of themselves on the Internet for the general public to view.
It's true that everyone who's very visible on here is going to get some unwanted attention and yes, it comes part and parcel with being so very public BUT I think there certainly are some ways to give each of us a little more control over our own accounts and who does and doesn't have access to them.
I personally choose not to put myself out there. I make text comments and public videos that do not show my face or contain any personally identifiable information. I only make videos for friends and family that show me. As a result my ideas or videos might be attacked but for the most part I have received no personal attacks and I like that just fine thanks.
Gothreaper it is impossible to do that. If you have some idea of ways to do so I would like to hear them. I run a chat community, I'm also a web developer. Most Ip's are not static, email addresses are as easy to obtain as youtube accounts. You keep saying the same thing and people like myself and argent009 keep telling you it's not possible. Anyone who chooses to put themselves out there on youtube needs to be willing to take the bad with the good.
Livejournal does do that well and those would be some great features to see on YouTube. "My eyes half closed, my mouth wide open, I look like a dead fish" Lmao XD
Cool vid and great ideas! I was thinking your first-video thing was bad because, in my case anyway, it's one that isn't the least-sucky:) but then I figured that if we had cool things to say, someone would mention it and the new viewers would take a shot.
So, I have said nothing, pretty much.
