  • i never understood how people could find sit ups so difficult, i used to do 150 everyday just for fun but i can barely do 30 pushups, so i guess i need to start working out some more

  • how many push ups to pass?

  • @saskekun101 42

  • @saskekun101 infinite!

  • Terrible form

  • i wanna join the army but i m not sure that i can pass the apft its the pushups that might get me ill tell you one thing though ill die trying before i give up!!!

  • I wish we had our PT test runs on a course like that. All the ones I've taken have been on a running track so we have to do 8 laps. It's boring as hell and totally unmotivating.

  • i fell the push up. sit up. and two mile run is more of a mental game showing that you can keep repping and not stop until 2 minutes is up for the 2 mile run is over... most of this stuff aint gonna help u in combat

  • pt is in basic right?

  • @joshwaggoner14 u do PT all the time in the military

  • idk how im gonna run with shin splints

  • @joshwaggoner14 ur not.... lol

  • A7X :D

  • It's scored by how many reps you can do in 2 minutes, and what age group your in, im 22 minimum is 40 push ups 53 sit ups and 2 mile run under 17:36, I just passed mine with 54,75,15:06.

  • I just recently enlisted so I don't know what basic training is gonna be like, but I read the PT requirements and it doesn't seem that bad. At the same time this video probably shows a small sliver of what they do in basic. I mean push-ups and situps easy, and the mile slightly easy, everything else will be a surprise cause I got no idea what they have in store. Leave in july wish me luck.

  • @GrizzlyWarrior27 That just the pt test man.... Just be able to pass the 2-2-2 before you leave for basic and you will be fine.

  • @GrizzlyWarrior27 i too am a recruit for the USMC and i did the CFT today and did alright, i have to work on running but anything is possible so good luck to you

  • @GrizzlyWarrior27 Good luck man, take care your one of the finest human beings on earth

  • who really gives a shit if they are doing it wrong there joining the army risking there lives for yours so you can sit on the god damn computer and make fun of em.

  • how exactly do you get scored on a PT test

  • @briney14 they have a scoring chart.

  • pussies

    there not doing it properly

supposed to be legs closed and arms shoulder width

  • @maleftarmsmissing

They are actually alowed to have legs shoulder width as well.

  • @maleftarmsmissing

retard..... you can have your feet up to 12 inches apart and arms can be further then shoulder width as long as you break the plane of your back when doing a pushup

  • when i do situps i keep my arms folded to my chest, creates more resistance rather then pulling on your head

  • wow..everyone is all no were better no were better..who cares whos better. Physical fitness is for everyone one so if your igo is big most likely so is your ass, so run till its normal sized.

  • i have a question how much push ups and how much sit ups did anyone do and passed the test? walking the 2 miles wont be the problem for me i did 25 push ups and still had energy for more can some1 help me out im from germany and i'm thinking about joining the army

  • @Blackjambeatz you'll need more than 25 pushups, aim for 50 to be safe. Situps, also aim for 50.

  • south korea flag!

  • damn dude I have a hard time doing like 10 push ups, and I leave for basic in like 4 months, any tips???

  • @bengalbengalbengal just start at whatever number your comfortable with.. so say you can do 5. try and do 3-4 sets a day so do 5 wait 5mins do another 5 and so on. I started at 10, 5 sets a day now i can do 5 sets of 35 push ups and its only been 1-2 months! Hope this helps! good luck

  • @bengalbengalbengal you need to find a way to increase upper body str

from weight lifting, and even pushups

  • @strikeme5 yeh i agree wit him if u weight lift it self an dont do pushups till the day before you'll still see a big change you'll be doing 20 + pushups non stop

  • @bengalbengalbengal umm ya if your really leaving for basic that means your in DEP. that means your supposed to be working with your recruiter until you leave.

  • Love the video, love the song. awesome

  • how much pushups and situps do you need to do lol im 15 and thinking of joining the british army

  • @EDDYLOL100

To be a US Army soldier you gotta be able to do 5 push-ups and 10 sit ups and walk a mile in under an hour, and not cry when the sergeant yells at you. If you can do that you get to wear the coveted black beanie cap of teh US Army.

  • @TheJomogogo is that seriously what you need to do to be a us army soldier??? is the infantry fitness level different

  • @chrisc170 2min pushups, 2min situps, 2mile run all scored based on age group. also scores of like drill sgts, officers, sf of course are a couple extra things like ruck tests, pullups, and swimming tests but this is just a test you take 2 times a year to make sure your staying in shape to do your job. different units have their own standards though they usually exceed the afpt which they take as a unit also but this is just the armys basic apft 2x a year

  • @TheJomogogo shut up dont be a dick you know thats not what you have to do

  • @TheJomogogo your lieing...

  • @sgtliam10

Oh wow look who just caught up.

  • @TheJomogogo lmfao i'm smart

  • @TheJomogogo

i was in the army jackass its alot harder than that

  • @thompson9400

Oh wow look who just caught up.

  • @EDDYLOL100 british army is different, and its also different inside the british army, for example ... if you want to get into parachute regiment training you need to run 1.5 miles in under 9:18 and be able to do 20 chinups, 50 pressups and 60 situps 2 mins for each

  • those are pretty shitty pushups, they should be slower, chest should touch the ground, more control, less recklessness

  • feet can be together or 12 in. apart.

  • im not worried about the pushups and situps i snowboard and ride motocross so i have a strong core and upper body, i just need to work on my 2 mile speed

im at 19mins it should be close to 16min

  • its actually just over 15 min, was just told by someone who had graduated from bct recently told me on monday, and im with u on the 2 mile run.

  • I thought they were meaner than that.

  • there doing there pressups wrong ur suppost to hav ur feet togeather and straight body

  • what the fuck is a pressup you dumbass? try "pushup". and your feet can be up to a foot apart.

  • Press up is UK english for push up, even a "dumbass" should know that.

  • girls join the army to become a man

  • typical yank wank......british army's the real deal

  • typical brit shit, MissJohnhaugh .......

british army's rep says it all: we "yanks" mopped the floor with ye british bitches ..............

  • The British Army has won more wars than the world put together.... Military Fact. now fuck off. Your rep is losing in Vietnam, Korea, and Somalia wars. So fuck you American bitches!

  • i dont blame u 4 being angry- ur on th e losing side wth a bunch a pansies mate!

  • The British army is decent, but it's the US Army that has been called upon to train the British army in urban warfare! The British do have a better main battle tank, but compared to the M2A1 Abrams, they would get smoked in a desert battle. To those who say we lost Vietnam, look at the stats: Politically, we lost; we also lost @ 60,000 soldiers, BUT we killed over 4,000,000, so considering these numbers, I'd say WE won, and South Vietnam lost.

  • erm no the british army have been trained in urban warfare since the 1600s mate when were in afganistan all the way back then and in the french wars in the 1800s i think and in ireland in the 1900s and in ireland again in the 60s 70s 80s 90ish's get you facts right before you beef out americas army is the best. THE UK AND THE US ARE BOTH VERY GOOD ARMYS WELL TRAINED AND BATTLE HARDENED THATS WHY WERE FREINDS AND WE FIGHT TOGETHER !

  • You're misinformed, Jake. Counter-intelligence of US Armed Forces is second to NONE. With spies and 700 military bases in 130 countries around the world, the US has the ultimate capability to plan and attack an air or ground combat war, or dispatch for rescue and humanitarian relief. The British Army could neither defend nor protect their country during WW2, so they had to ask the Russians and Americans for help.

  • FACTS about US & British Armies:

    BA active personnel: 101,000;

Total Brit Armed Forces personnel: 195,500

    Military Bases Around the World: 86; British Nuclear Stockpile: 200+;

    Special Forces: Special Air Services; British Defense Expenditure (2008): $69 billion USD;

  • US Army active personnel: 1, 055,000,000; Total US Armed Forces personnel: 1, 426,000,000; Military Bases Around the World: 700 in 130 countries; US Nuclear Stockpile: 5000+;

    Special Forces: Navy Seals, Delta Force, Green Berets, Top Gun;

US Defense expenditure (2008): $623 billion USD (47% of world's total military expenditure)

Since your facts are incorrect, Jake, you're out of your league in this conversation, my passionate but misguided friend.

  • @Vallariana okay i dont know what your lieing for though british army have about 2 000 000 active armed forces and god knows the total number of troops. it doesent take a mastermind to work out that. we have a civilization of like 3 billion and only 100 000 + of that is going to be in the army ? haha please stfu

  • @Vallariana - Check your numbers. you're saying the US has 1,055,000,000 (reads one billion fifty-five million) armed forces personnel.... ummm that's more than one sixth of the population of Earth. maybe you meant to say 1,055,000 (this reads one million fifty-five thousand) .

  • @Vallariana millitary bases around the world 1500 + you nob in loads of countrys that we owned thats why we are called the great british = british colonies. british nuclear stokepiles i dont really know anything about that. special forces = SAS , SBS , the parachute regiment , royal marines. british defense expenditure (2008) £ 160 billion british sterling

  • @Vallariana no your wrong vallariana the british army could neither defend or protect our land ??? whatdo you all the battle of britain then ? german aircraft trying to clear the skys of british aircraft british air craft blowning the crap out of german aircraft i think thats called defending our land from invation. and incase you forgot we dident call for americans or russains to help. american got fucked up by the japs at pearl harbour thats why they got involved.

  • sure we were fucked up dude

it was a pussy attack that no one was ably to predict

no country in the world would be able to stop hundrets of jap planes that were blowing themselves up in our harbor

well but it is true that britain had and has got a good army for its size and matters

but america needs more troops and weapons to fight the wars. probably britain would have more to if they needed them

but us army is and will always be the best in the world :)

  • @Vallariana great anuva uneductaed yank.. US joind WW2 in 44.. all u did was do the beach landings and a few air drops around various places.. WW2 was won ova the british channel in the battle of britain.. FACT.. britsh infantry is the most wel trained and profesional infantry in the world! US spends mony on eq we spend it on trainin.. plus our special fources taught ALL other countries special fources.. even urs.. read up b4 projecting urself as an uneducated fool

  • yeah fuck off you nob. british and american are as good as each other ! british army have lost erm 150 soldiers in iraq OVER THE PAST 9 YEARS MATE how many american soldiers have been killed over the past nine years ermmmm ? 1000 ? 1200 maby ?

  • thats because our troops are always in the firefight yours arnt

  • is it hard for a girl to become a pti in the navy?

(yes i know this is the army)

  • that's the american girls so for them . it's hard .

  • has that been filmed in booker if so iv bn there good chow hall its like butlins in the sun good gym 2

  • You all can give them shit about it, but remember dumbasses their in Iraq, a war zone for all you who dont know that, their already in the Army, once in with being in a war zone they dont make it hard, because you work out every day over there.

  • @privett123

yeah and you could do better

  • This looks about as hard as tenth grade Phys. Ed.

  • Well go 4 it then

  • No pullups?

  • na thats marines that got to complete 20 pull ups

  • its two pull ups.

  • I wish PT tests were as exciting as this video makes them seem lol.

  • fucking tune, i love avenged :)

  • i cant seem to pass the damn run anymore...everything else is a breeze.

  • roger that. i can pass everything else, yet the run is one of those things i've never been good at.

  • leaving for 13bravo OSUT 16weeks at Fort Sill on Monday (Aug11) I got most of this shit down. i get 55 push ups in 1:30, 50 situps in 2 minutes, but my running is HORRID at 2 miles in 22 minutes. Im not too nervous about it though since i get 16 weeks to bring it down to 15 minutes, it wont be easy but i think I can do it.

  • Pogue PT? who the fuck are you? You don't know what the fuck your talking about... what is grunt pt? I was a grunt, seems like they do the same shit I do for pt... if you think you can do it better join or shut the FUCK UP you fuckin BITCHES! day in and day out we fight for weak ass pussies that will hide behind their computers... FUCK YOU! talk shit when you do it... 5th Group OOOORAH!!

  • Hey, how the fuck do I start putting a packet in? I have tons of combat experience and I want to take that big jump. Any help?

  • @mdmic24 prob could not have worded it any better

  • @mdmic24 take pride in what you protect. you mouthing what your protecting doesnt make you better at it.

  • I wouldn't get so upset in life there are those who are strong and will live and those who are weak and will die. The ones who run there mouths on youtube are weak pussies and will inevitably do nothing with there lives unlike you who will live with honor, dignity, and respect

  • rly rly random but do those army pt shirts...like the material...do the shirt stretch or no

  • Lol

  • Ha7oc, NO ONE GIVES A SHIT.

  • whats remedial pt?

    im not that fit

    i smoke

    i wanna join tho

  • why is there a korean flag?

  • Man, those push ups would not be allowed in ANY British Army Unit's Basic Fitness Test.

  • why?

  • Because, amongst other things, their chests aren't going all the way down and their backs/legs aren't "in-line". This would mean a count of 1, 1, 1,....and if you don't deliver, then you're off to good old "Remedial PT" for however many weeks it takes to get fit. Remedial PT is always an "interesting" experience :)

  • would you reccomend the BABFT for getting fit? Iwant to become athletic

  • Visit //army-fitness-physical-training.blogspot

  • wow...did you know that you're not required to take a PT test in a combat zone, it's all up to your NCO's, at least that's how it was in 2005

  • go a7x

  • most action these pogues will see in Iraq

  • what are the requirements

  • haha buddy sais come to england and see how tough they have it... the Canadian Army is the hardest worked army in the world.. even Hitler said with Canadian soldiers and american weapons he'd have the perfect army.

  • blablabla

    ill never believe that

why did he fuck around for his "arier" if canadians are better :D

  • Im still in training for this they seem fit to me......the song match it thoe....A7X bat country i think

  • fuckin out of shape poges i maxed everything last pt test

  • ya these guys are getting a lot flak sorry haha but....the testing seems very official however the pushups are very inconsistent...arms spread out really far....but w/e ..cool

  • Quit giving these guys shit, when I was running for my pt test over there mortars were hitting the FOB. These guys (if they are grunts) are out everyday for 4-10 hours in the heat with 100+ pounds of gear. Trust me, you can't hack it, or you'd do it.

  • @pfskribbles amen to that, i got my first deployment comin up and this new otv is a bitch

  • wow the guy on left in beginning didnt even go all the way down..

  • are they just doing as many pushups and situps until they flag out or are they seeing how many they can do in 1 or 2 minutes?

I wish we did the 2 mile run- it's so much easier compared to the beep test

  • How are the unfit?!! Please explain yourself!

  • Avenged Sevenfold: Bat Country

  • I feel really for the guy below if he is in the army.

    what is this song?

  • Good ole APFT.

  • Why the hatred dude? We're all on the same side. It's us against the bad guys.

  • Then why on earth did you look up a Army video you jackass.

Can't you find other ways to try to inflate your ego?

  • haha exactly

  • @EricTheTexan "Holy Dog shit only steers and queers come from texas and you don't look like much of a steer so that kind of narrows it down for me" - Drill Sargent

  • why on earth would there be a south korean flag hanging up in baghdad?

  • You know alot of you talk crap about this but i want to see about half of you go out every day and do the things that these people do daily...I think that they would take great offience in it....Because i am one of them i do so plz do not just talk crap.

  • Holy crap. If I were grading some of those pushups it would be "1...1...1...1...1...1...1... go back to the end of the line."

  • "0-0-0-0-0-"

  • Pogue PT , this is not real PT lol, all you devil dogs dont get it twisted .. these are not grunts.. soft skills .

  • girly sit ups!

  • Army PFT is different than Marine Corps PFT. You guys do pushups, we do pull-ups, you do situps, we do crunches, you run 1.5 miles, we run 3 miles. My question is, how many situps is equal to 100 points and is it in a 2minute time limit?

  • We actually run 2 miles for my age group you need 75 to max in 2 minutes..it has been so long since i havent max my P.T test...I have even max the marine PFT..just for fun...Army all the Way Hooooah!

  • Oh 2 miles my bad, I confused it with the USAF PFT for some reason.

  • ok i didn't see your response so forget mine lol

  • it's 2 miles

  • we have to get 77 situps for a 100%, and by the way its a 2 mile run

  • all this has been cleared up already.

  • tanks 4 the video

  • hooah

  • dude is that ballad? fuckin nice gym, didnt have that shit at warhorse

  • by the way what song?

  • that song is Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold

  • Subharay go die

  • hey i need tips to survive boot camp comment please

  • do what ur told, listen to the privates appointed for leadership, dont fall asleep, do pushups NOW

  • its not hard... just shut up and do exactly as your told... no more no less.. regular army is nothing compared to a training environment. very relaxed...

pfc haywood - 92nd eng combat bn "BLACK DIAMONDS!!!"

  • cant wait to see the sights of iran

  • See you next year muther fucker!!!
