Ok, just to clear things up.

1. this guys are japanese, not chinese.

2. "hai" means "yes" either "ok" in japanese.

3. khinkali they made really sucks, too much onion and dough looks not exactly as it should be for khinkali.

Ok I had a question if some one can help me answer it.. it's going to sound alittle silly? But can you put yogurt on top of khinkali or is that a big no no....cause i know you're suppose to eat it with your hands.....

When I was in Georgia, we had khinkali at different restaurants, and I did not see anyone put anything on their khinkali before eating it (except maybe black pepper). One of the things about eating khinkali is to eat a bit of the dough on the side, and drink all the juices without spilling any. Then, you eat the rest of the khinkali (and many people save the "top" of the dumpling and put it to the side to see how many they ate).

Wow thanks for the info! Tthe reason I asked is because my husband is from northeastern Turkey.. he's town borders Georgian and they have some what of the same dish only it's a smaller version and they're not shaped like little bags.. it's called Manti:) And they put yogurt all over it and it's fantastic! Ummm black pepper! I'm from Texas and black pepper is the thing!!! I put it all over chicken and dumplings! Makes perfect sense!

its just because it was in the history georgian territory and the people who lived there were georgians but in matter of time became turks so thats why the recept is there cause khinkali is a very old georgian food
