  • SUBS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Would be nice to have some subs...

  • long live mossadegh, screw western countries

  • Dorood bar in Mardeh Bozoog

your name and your action would stay in our mind for ever

we would love you for ever

  • a leader just leader from the 3rd= the west´s worst nightmare...and eventually they got rid of him...

  • please, someone that understands farsi can translate this?

the world wants to hear what this man had to say

  • Peace be upon you, Mohammad Mossadeq.

  • He really was a great man. I'm reading the book: 'All the sha's Men' at the moment. It describes the history of Iran, the 'coup de etat' orchestrated by the CIA and MI6 in which Mossadegh was removed from power, the destruction of democracy by the nations (UK and USA) that make war and murder in the name of democracy. Will Bush or Blair ever be called great men? I dont think so. MURDERERS.

All the worlds 'leaders' should take lesson from this man. The world needs to rise up against oppression.

  • Yeah the CIA deposed him for working to Nationalize British Petroleum in Iran. England came to us (the U.S.) for help and we threw him out and put the Shah in power. It's a sad story, and I'm ashamed of what my government did to Iran, especially when we're supposed to stand for freedom. But hopefully Iran can once again become free and this time I hope our nations can have peace.

Persia has a long and great history, Just because they are down today does not mean they will be tomorrow =]

  • @taxibandit13

thanks for the remarks. Hopefuly Iran and Iranians wil be free soon.

  • @taxibandit13 you are mistaken in assuming that Irania people are down today. this is not how we feel as iranians, today the majority of people in iran are supporting president ahmadinejad and we are continuing to fight the imperialists. long live the islamic republic

  • @NobelMan1000 I appreciate your point of view. I suppose I had the opposite idea because the Iranians I've met are very opposed to the current government in Iran, but I also suppose that's why they're here and not there. Perhaps my western values clash somewhat with those of the Islamic Republic, as I believe women should have equal rights, I don't believe in dictators, etc.

  • @NobelMan1000 But I do know that Persia has had a long and great history. Maybe instead of "fighting the imperialists" you should focus on making your country better and stronger, so that you will have to fight nobody. Preparing to fight always leads to war in the end, and the world needs no more wars. Strengthen your economy instead, so that when the oil is all gone, the people of Iran can still live well.

  • @taxibandit13 we are fighting to defend our selves. i never said we want to rage war against any country. to fight in order to defend the dignity and independence is considered a very holy and sacred act for any people. we are not attacking any country and are not preparing to do so, but we are preparing to defend our selves if we are attacked by Americans or for that matter any other country. and we are strengthening our economy by developing peaceful nuclear technology so when the oil

  • @taxibandit13

No one put shah in power, Shah was already in power, Mosadegh is great for what he did in terms of Nationalizing Oil, but he was greedy and wanted more power. After his oil achievement, He asked to become ministry of war, which shah rejected. Mosadegh resigned and canceled the chamber of deputies via a referendum, which was not a lawful act. Since Mosadegh was a Ghajar, he always wanted to bring down Pahlavi. He caused chaos in Iran and he destroyed his own future.

  • @payambreaker I do have a college degree in history and I have to disagree with you. You should recognize that what you're saying are opinions only. Yes it's true the Shah had been in power, but it's also true that Mossadegh was working to turn the government more towards Democracy. And the Shah didn't seem to resist this at all until the UK and US stepped in and basically told him to take complete control and oust Mossadegh.

  • @taxibandit13

It's not about what qualification you hold, many with PHD are working for IRI too, no offence. The whole Image is what counts the most. Mosadegh was appointed as the prime minister and should have respected his responsibilities and limits. At the time the regime is said to had been behaving in the most democrat way possible. What Mosadegh did, warned shah to be more careful and thereafter Shah decided to become more controlling of what went on in Iran which boosted the prosperity

  • @payambreaker So yes the Shah was actually put "back" in power by the western allies. Mainly because he was a weak-willed man and would do what they told him to do, unlike Mossadegh who was very principled and was fighting for Iran's independence. I won't question you that perhaps Mossadegh had something to gain personally, but the fact is he was fighting more for Iran's people than anyone in his position ever had. Just look at the Ayatolla, he's killing his own people to remain in power.

  • @taxibandit13

Shah was not weak-will, This is so wrong to define him as weak because he preferred not to be in Iran at the time of chaos. His government never stopped working in order to establish peace. Shah also fought for his people. Never forget that Mosadegh had the ability and opportunity of doing whatever he did under shah supervision. like you said shah never resisted Mosadegh decision. Mosadegh would have stayed in power if he did not get greedy asking to become minister of war.

  • @payambreaker CIA records from Operation Ajax suggest that the Shah was so passive it took a lecturing from his sister to make the decision to go along with them in re-establishing his power in Iran. And I'm very sorry, but fleeing his country in a time of unrest when he is the leader is the very definition of a weak will. Yes the Shah did work to modernize Iran, but he brutally oppressed those who opposed him, which is why the people had their revolution.

  • Comment removed

  • @payambreaker I'm not sure why you're so much in support of the Shah, honestly. I feel that as an American I should thank you, but I feel that the Shah just wasn't good for the people of Iran. I feel Khomenei is much worse, and that Mossadegh could have made Iran a much better, independent and more powerful country than it is today. I don't like that U.S. and Iran are enemies, because I love persian culture and I have had friends in college from Iran. But we can't change the past =/

  • @taxibandit13

First, people had their devolution not revolution and that was due to lack of political knowledge and lack of awareness of where Iran stood internationally. People were naive and unappreciative of what they had. And since when America write history for us. Abbas Milani has also used this baseless information of CIA against Shah. We all know that CIA is full of lies, Wikileaks recently proved that. We do not need CIA data to know Who the real father of our nation was!

  • @payambreaker Well I agree with you on the devolution part. I think Khomenei and the Islamic Republic are holding Iran back from the power that it could be. Not that I have any problem with Islam, but I think more freedom would allow for more culture, more trade, bigger economy, etc. I would hope that Khomenei can be overthrown or even gradually removed from power so that the people of Iran can have more voice in government.

  • @payambreaker As for Wikileaks, it did expose many secrets but also proved that the U.S. was handling politics as it should, and being much more fair than many of our allies. The king of Saudi Arabia for example tried to pressure the U.S. to go to war with Iran, but Bush and Obama wouldn't do it.

  • @payambreaker Also, the CIA doesn't always fight for the right causes, but discounting information just because it came from them can be ignorant. Especially when they have no reason to make it up. They would have much preferred if the Shah was more willing to stand up and take power himself, but instead they nearly had to force him to do it.

  • @taxibandit13

Well you are from different background and don't have to necessarily understand the reasons behind my interest and preference of a Monarchy for Iran. we have 2500 years history of monarchy, Iran's dignity is maintained only this way. A republic state is not a suitable for of state for a country like Iran with such history.

BTW, do not portrait Shah as a USA agent. After all it was USA who caused this catastrophe. Carter could not tolerate a rich Iran. Shah stood against USA.

  • @payambreaker Unfortunately it is very well documented by more than just the U.S. that the Shah was indeed a puppet of the western powers. I do believe he cared about his country very much, and wanted to see Iran become a great, modern nation, but believed the best way to do it was to go along with what Britain and the USA wanted. And he did try to make it more secular, which triggered a muslim backlash.

  • @payambreaker While I disagree that all your facts are correct, I understand and respect your opinion. You're right, we come from different backgrounds on the other side of the planet, but the world gets smaller every day and people like us will only come into contact more and more in the future. I have enjoyed this debate and I hope you have a wonderful day!

  • @taxibandit13

Same here, I also enjoyed it. At the end of the day whether west puppet or not, He did every thing in his power to modernize Iran. The only mistake he made was that he loved Iran too much and as you know ayatollahs are against that. For that we call him the father of modern Iran. I wish I could speak like this to our fellow Iranians who are against Shah.Unfortunately people have very small capacity these days and soon start insulting one another. Thank you and Take care.

  • Can somebody please translate Mr Mossadeq's speech?

  • I heard the CIA set him up ?

  • @DiegoHarmon Other way around. He was democratically elected, and the CIA took him down in a coup because they didn't like him. The CIA then set up a dictatorship, the Shah, who ruled brutally for 25 years. Pretty horrible thing the US did. Mossadeq didn't even do anything wrong. He and his parliament voted almost unanimously to nationalize an oil company, and we overthrew his democratically elected government.

  • Subtitles would be nice.

  • @DrAvesta I too would love to here the LIES they used to remove him...I would like to hear this as well. DOWN WITH WESTERN IMPERIALISM!!!

  • Rest in peace Mossadegh!

  • Thank God for YouTube. I wish more Americans knew the history of American intervention in Iran.

Iran is totally blameless concerning its mistrust of America.

As an African - American I understand the mistrust, witness the tyranny and exploitation of this country.

Hopefully, one day America will truly lead the way towards a free society.

Remember it's not the American people but our government that is causing so much trouble around the world.

  • @dontbuythiscrap WELL SAID!!!!

  • Respond to this video...

Ask yourself this question why he waited till the age 73 or after 52 years of signing the oil concession to nationalize Iranian oil? Why he didn't nationalize it, when he was much younger? Don't you think time is always a very important key ?

  • درود بر این مرد بزرگ,I am proud of being an Iranian

  • Peace be upon you, Mohammad Mossadeq.

  • let`s come togheter and forget our differences

  • An exceptional statesman in terms of wisdom, personal integrity and bravery. During the revolution, only two of his past aides personified those traits: Dr Sadighi and Dr. Bakhtiar. The path toward a prosperous society is the one that these statesmen devoted their lives to achieve it: A secular society in which the rule of law governs the social/political system, where religion takes a back seat, and people have the right to participate in any assembly and shape the future of their country.

  • Why he waited 52 years to take English government to the court?

  • @star74d: It is not that he waited 52 years to take the English Gov. to the court: 1- He only became Prime Minister in 1951. 2- The time had to be right to nationalize the oil. During Reza Shah's time, Dr. Mossadegh was either in jail or in excile; he was member of the parliament in the 1-st years of Reza Shah's reign (to the best of my recollection). 3- I think it was the British Gov. which take the issue to the international court in Holland following the nationalization....continued...

  • @star74d: .... And Dr. Mos. went to Holland to respond to the allegations of the British Gov., that the "nationalization" was not illegal. 4- Iran was occupied by the allies for years during the WW II; so we had to wait until the war was over and until they left Iran. However, once he became the PM, and he had public opinion both at home and around the world, then he did it. Timing is very important in politics. You need to have the right statesman at the right time, and we got him in 1951.

  • My home in Iran is next to Dr Mossadegh's home

  • well said.

indeed mossadegh has far little credit than he deserves.

  • you tell me if a religious turkey would be free for a Atheist turk? Its called democracy and it attempts to represent everyone, religious or Atheist.

  • NO democracy or Freedom under theocracy. we will never have neither of those under IR. history has shown this.

dont ever put Mosadegh name with IR unlike you mullah lovers mosadegh was a patriot.

y dont u say long live Khomeini & the mullahs since thats what you really mean.

Were not americans or turks, & despite you arab parasts dreams we are not arabs either.

Does america hang 16 yr old girls or stone women in public! or lash women for not wearing the "right" clothes?

    fuck islam & fuck you

  • secular Turkey, has had 4 coup d'etat's in its "secular" history!!

In 1980, they had a coup to topple the government

FREESECULARIRAN, think Iran will be "FREE" by being SECULAR and with American interference, then you rmistaking!

The people have allready chosen an ISLAMIC REPUBLIC, which will be the leader of the muslim world!

Back then we had the choice of going secular, you know what people chanted?

"Na sharghi, na gharbi, JOOMHORIYE ESLAMI"

  • Im not turkish I dont even like turkey."islamic" iran hanged a 16 year old girl."islamic" iran hanged a group bahais because they wouldnt convert to islam.

I dont want american "interference" moron its because american interference that cocksucker khomeini camed to power.

fuck islam. fuck allah and fuck mohammed

the only good thing revolution did was show ppl how backward & evil islam is

  • so wot the yankees have killed half million innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan, If Iran has to change it has to change by Iranians in Iran and not by your masters the "yanks"

  • Lets not forget what iraq did to us not so long "iraniansoul" they killed 1 million iranians.

Who is talking about America? if change comes to iran it should come from within I 100% agree.

god get a new platform.that one is getting old.

  • In Afghanistan they are fighting terrorists & The Taliban, not the people, in Iraq they were fighting terrorists and Saddam Hussein, not the people. Get your facts right.

  • 2/3 of iranians werent born before 79

we dont deserve to suffer from something cos of it. 99% of ppl did not vote for a "pislamic" republic. that election was rigged even khomeini hinted that. stop living in denial.

u arab parast iranians are really a joke instead caring for your own ppl 1st 100,000 of which killed by regime.u care more 4 some arabs who go in toilets in dubai & say they piss on persians. they dont even

Learn more about your past and you will find where you stand.

Iran ( parsia ) the nation who have rulled and survived in 7000 years.... surly these 50-60 years is just a short episod in history

  • @Eagle0vs0Oghab What you write is so true!!!!

  • @Eagle0vs0Oghab I agree but Persia (or Parsia) is not 7000 years old. Unless you yesterday found some proof. Atleast 3000-3500 years old.

  • I wish this had subtitles. :(

  • My grandfather worked along side Mossadegh and the two were good friends. He was a great person, a hero to the Persian people.

  • ---English

Dr. Mossadegh was a great person. One of the most important people the Iranian / Persian history.

They are very much like a stain on Dr. Mossadeq's reputation. Nothing more.

  • who do Iranians like better?

    Mossadeq or the Shah????

    I am asking women too!!!!!

  • mossadeq was a nationalist-democratic person, thats why Iranians love him.

Shah did also many good things, but made also mistakes.

  • if I were Iranian, i would be pissed that the British and USA (my country) kicked Mossadeq out and put the puppet Shah in power

  • I think the anti-Women Laws didn't come in till around the time of the Iranian Revolution.

  • I pretty much agree with both rostamg and afshinjavad.

I personally have heard a lot of negative things about Fariba Amini. She and others of her ilk are considered as 'lash khors'.

  • I Just want to add one other thing. As the comments indicate, their motive seem to be money.

There are several of these ladies, but Fariba Amini's reputation seems to be the worst.

  • rosatmg - I know exactly what you are talking about. These people like Fariba Amini have been married a number of times. As the comments you indicated show to some non-Iranian people.

    People really question their motives.

  • If you go to iranian dot com, you can read articles by these people. To many Iranians, people like Fariba Amini have no credibility.

  • yes

  • In those days, Jebhe' Melli was one of them. These days you have people like Fariba Amini and others who are claimimg Dr. Mossadeq's Heritage.

  • I loved Dr. Mossadeq. He was an exceptional individual. Unfortunately, he allowed various people to attach themselves to him.

People of Iran should do something for their Freedom, Women Rights, Children Rights, rescue the environment and do something against Pollution etc. I'm fed up with countries like France, German, Italy, Russia, who are working with islam Mullas in Iran and exploit my country!

  • Khodaye Iran Biamorzatash...

  • Only If....

  • Mossadegh was a great man, who truely loved Iran and all Iranians, he is one of the greatest hero's of Iran and was way ahead of his time, had it not been for the cia coup, Iran would today have been the greatest country in the world. We should always remember him, his sacrifices and his spirit and work together, united as Iranians, no matter what our ethnic, religious or political background is and fufill his dream and ours and finally have a free democratic Iran for all Iranians.

  • Very Well Put ..

  • Long live his spirit. It took US with the help of UK $1,000,000 to plug in their filth puppet the shah in 1953. And Savak was established, equipped and trained by the cia in 1957.

Again, long live his spirit. May someday a true social democracy prevail in dear Iran.
