A good presentation! I like this programm. But they had to reach so many points they never got during this season, anyway they got very close. Let's see again at the europeans!!
As much as i thought Tatiana and Maxim deserved slightly higher component marks that would have got them gold, they did make mistakes. They have fantastic programs that im sure could easily win them worlds this year. However S&S had a flawless performance in the Free and im happy that they won
Love their routines, but if they want to beat Aliona and Robin they have to work on those spins. They're just sloppy in comparison. That last lift was really awkward and Trankov needs to work on his basic skating skills. They aren't as clean as hers and it stands out if you just look at the technical elements and not the art, which is what the technical specialist is doing.
ehm.. I wouldn't like to spread rumors, but... why did they kiss at the end? I mean, on the lips? aren't they both like, involved with other people (one of which was standing right there, watching it)?
@slavaro1992 I don't like this program. There is no relationship with the title of Black Swan of this program, and poor transitions-- just the repeat of technic - skating - technic....... I cannot understand the marks of transition and choreography which can even come close to Savchenko/Szolkowy !
@kjwabcd If you don't get this program that means you don't understand the movie. Tanya and Max represent the best traditions of Russian pair skating, the best in the world! There is so much power and quality about their skating that Savchenko and Zolkovy never dreamed of! Judges still place S / Z above the Russian pair because of Germans ranking, but it will not last long, this GPF showed that. So I wish to V / T the same as slavaro1992!!!
@kjwabcd And I think it's their first program where we can see a real pair. Transitions? Do you know what exactly are transitions. It's a skate movements and also body, hands, head movements between elements. I see a lot of small spirals, direction changes, different steps, and nuances which makes their program amazing. And I'm not even talking about amazing qulity of each element while Sav/Sch makes some big mistakes.
@slavaro1992 Aside from getting briefly out of sync in the side by side spins, what mistake are you referring to in Savchenko/Szolkowy's free program?
@slavaro1992 Except those are not big mistakes. And if you look at the score sheet on said elements they were marked accordingly. S/S won on the technical end in part because of the throws being scored higher. And they won program components. In my opinion the right team won.
@slavaro1992 Those arent major mistakes. They are still going to get a positive GOE on those elements. However putting your foot down on a throw and nearly falling on the end of a pair spin are major mistakes that going to to give Tat&Max a negative GOE
@sk8ingcoach1 The mistake on throw is not a major, it was just unconfident, it's minimum 0 GOE. And they've done all requirements on spin. And all other elements was cleaner than SS.

However if you read the GOE guidelines, if you land on two feet on a throw ( which she did ) then it is reccommended to give a -2 GOE therefore making it a major mistake. And in an overall performance, S&S were flawless which is going to give them more PCS. Yes most of T&M's elements were better than S&S, however those mistakes cost them the gold.

I don't actually get this "either one, or the other"/"if you like/love x, you should hate y" position, when it comes to rivals of some kind. I think it's possible to like both. This season I like S/S long program better - I think it's more contemporary and original, but I like V/T SP better and I like them as a pair in general.
