  • I would add just one thing, if u are too lazy to wrtie \\usecpc\sharedfolder

    u can use: open my computer, tools, map network driver, and choose this shared folder, and click on "reconect on login" u will have this in xp :P

  • Fuck me I just reformatted my XP system and I have turned off nearly every security setting I can think of that relates to this and when I try to drop a file from xp into the folder it says it could be write protected which means it has no fucking clue what is actually going on.

  • hey man everthing worked out but when i go onto xp it ask me the id and the password. please reply really need it!

  • @paul92yt go control panel > network and sharing center > change advanced sharing settings >>>> under ``password protected sharing`` make sure *turn off password protection sharing* is ticked, also under ``turn on file and printer sharing`` , tick *turn on file and printer sharing*

  • How can I retrieve files from a vista user using windows 7? I can retrieve files from the windows 7 user but can';t seem to retrieve files from the vista user.

  • @MrToledoA try and do this on the vista machine also, I haven't try it since i never kept a vista os on my pc for more than 1 day, I think it should work
