After reading all those articles, forum post, comments... all I had to do, is add "Eveyone" under the Security tab too? Thanks man, this video was truly a godsend.
I was just about to mention that something is missing, but check out the video response for the 2nd part. Great tutorial together with the video response, simple and on target. Thumbs up!
very nice.. I've been searching a lot of tutorials for this.. you "nailed" it... it works for me.. hope it work for others having trouble with network file sharing.. keep up the good work.. and THANK YOU VERY MUCH... took out all the frustrations..
Fuck me I just reformatted my XP system and I have turned off nearly every security setting I can think of that relates to this and when I try to drop a file from xp into the folder it says it could be write protected which means it has no fucking clue what is actually going on.
@paul92yt go control panel > network and sharing center > change advanced sharing settings >>>> under ``password protected sharing`` make sure *turn off password protection sharing* is ticked, also under ``turn on file and printer sharing`` , tick *turn on file and printer sharing*

I would add just one thing, if u are too lazy to wrtie \\usecpc\sharedfolder
u can use: open my computer, tools, map network driver, and choose this shared folder, and click on "reconect on login" u will have this in xp :P
