We have a few ex Hong Kong G12's in Australia. We used to have quite a few G8's but most have been scrapped. I will post a video response with one of our preserved G8's.

Here the G12's still working hard haulin 18 loaded coal hoppers (1500 tons I think) some G12 are modernized with eletronic traction control system and other mods like the frontal cab with frontal windows,these G12Ms are very similar to G22U and the same 1650hp increased

Yes! this locos have a awesome paint.. I lvoe the G12s.. some are uptaded and get a cabin like G22 with frontal windows and a updade .. a eletric traction control..increase more hp.. and safety. the FTC raiway made his project and convert the locos in maintance shop
