  • Bea Benaderet is "Mrs. Krause". Jack's ad-lib reference to the "Krauses" having their own show at 6:17 is a reflection of a running gag where he was jealous of Dennis Day and Phil Harris having radio shows of their own that season...

  • The cast, as seen in the above 1947 photo (left to right):

Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Dennis Day. Phil Harris, Mary Livingstone, "a cheap, vain, radio personality who's also a lousy violinist", Don Wilson, and Mel Blanc.

Why is Jack grimacing? Because everyone else is listening to "THE FRED ALLEN SHOW"! ;)

  • I read the book "Sunday Nights At Seven" by Jack and Joan Benny... very interesting insight into Benny, including both his professional and private lives. Well worth the read.

  • Frank Nelson SMOKES!! I crack up every time I hear him. Excellent delivery.

  • The cast, Eddie Robinson,Dennis Day,Phil Harris,Mary Livingston,Jack Benny,Don Wilson,Mel Blanc

  • That must be Mel Blanc on the right ....omg too funny!!!

  • what a funny man with unforgettable talent
