Aside from the lyrics, modern black metal is essentially vintage American Hardcore. That's not an insult. If it weren't for hardcore's early influence on Black Metal I'd say they both could have evolved separately into a very similar sounding subgenre. But they didn't. Frankly, I'm quite happy that the sound endures do this day despite my having grown beyond it.
@blackwarriorTNBM True, dark throne was originally a death metal band (witch they were awesome back then too). Well anyway, thanks for the upload, I happen to own my copy of darkthrones and black flags on cd, its a great album.
@blackwarriorTNBM -Building from the musical structure of thrash metal and early black metal, death metal emerged during the mid 1980s. It was mainly inspired by thrash metal and early black metal acts- My father can confirm that too, he was a huge metalhead in the 80's.
I wish they didnt go punk i wish they were the same like on panzerfaust >.> they dont sound like Black metal anymore it sounds like fenriz and nocturno lost theyre roots :/
I'm german too, and the whole 88-shit an naziscum idiots have to fuck off and die!
Überall muss man dieses Mist lesen, kann sich nicht irgend son schlauer kleiner Nazi nen rechtes YouTube programieren, damit die Leute hier mal Ruhe vor diesem Bullshit haben?!
fucking rocks man fucking rocks. who says that metal is dead. well it kinda is with crap like white chapel abigail williams damn i guess i dont listen to crapy metal that much i cant think of any more.
Tied to Abigail William's comment: Check out the band Eliminator on the Suffering Jesus Productions label. New school thrash from New Jersey. The drummer is the drummer for Abigail Williams too. Totally different style, and better I'd say.
DTaBF is tied with Under a Funeral Moon and Sardonic Wrath for my fave Darkthrone album. Hope they keep up their "backwards evolution" crust-punk/metal-worshipping attitude.
I have no words to describe just how great this is , it's like they consciously do what the old gods apparentely did unconsciously or accidentaly if that makes sense lol
No one can dislike this song !

Its great to hear some good solid metal again
I am so friggin sick of the super clean overproduced metal sound that so many many many err many bands have been pumping out for far to long.

Sounds kind of like early Celtic Frost. Easily tying with Bruzum as my favorite black metal band.

ehm; we have 2k9 its, just to teach ur a lesson: what u actually want to describe is spelled with little to no meaning, back from 1945, simple 88.
so read with me: 88
88! and now go die or grow up fag
