  • Falling asleep... so boring. Don't wait.. discharge the system by trying to turn it on while unplugged or short the battery terminals with something conductive.

  • It does not work with HP deskjet 1000 & HP 61 Cartridge. Can someone please help???

  • hey does anyone knows how to bypass HP photosmart B110a series cartridge 364 expiration dates? does battery removing solves this problem for this kind of printer to?PLEASE HELP!! be.aija@inbox.lv

  • Two words: Spelling Checker

  • My printer gave an "out of ink" error and refused to print. I searched for a solution and found this video. Just as I read the bit about disconnecting the battery the printer sprang into action and printed my page. Number 5 is alive!!

  • This doesn't work on my 7410 All IN ONE. Is there a different trick for that evil little cartridge? (It's like a war against the nerds making these things, and the rest of us hope it works).

  • product: inkist,, automatic refill is good.

    visit inkist dot com

no niddle, no power, no syringe,

    even kid can refill

  • For the 3200 series printer try this....

Press 4 buttons at the same time... (With your right hand)

    Color, Black, Reset, and OK.

Now press the "OFF" button wait for the printer to shut off and then turn it back "ON"

When you print, the printer will put the expired cartridge message. Press ">" ignore the warning, and Press "OK"

Go ahead and print all you want....

You will have to start the process over when you unplug power from your printer.....

  • hi i have lexmark c544n and i was wondering if you know how to reset the toner chip?

  • dont put that battery back. Will save you time.

  • The only problem with HP printers is the ludicrous price of the cartridges!

  • @250Trojan unless you work for HP, as you get the ink cartridges half price :)

  • @250Trojan They are dirt cheap on amazon. $7 for a whole set of 6. No joke.

  • @250Trojan

All major brands have a insane markup on ink prices, This is where the make the majority of there money. In alot of cases they sell the printers at a loss (below production / shipping costs), and rely on the ink sells to make up for it.

  • right on. thanxxx!

  • que problema tan H.P. con estas impresoras H.P. f4280, ni los cartuchos originales que cuestan $180,000 en Colombia los reconoce por el mismo sistema que tiene, y si los reconoce te sirven para imprimir 50 hojas.

  • Hey thanks. Now, I hope I can find the battery in my HP photosmart C6180. If you know, would you tell me please ?

  • Hey thanks. No I hope I can find the battery in my HP photosmart C6180. If you know, would you tell me please ?

  • will this work on the F380 multiprinter?

  • my hp is awesome. day one i git my printer, drivers wouldn't install. called tech support they want more money from me. i did the right thing and returned the product. second printer, another hp, scanner doa, network card doa. exchanged for a new one. this time ink wouldn't come out. i finally fixed the problem by going with cannon.

  • This just worked on my labs officejet 7140xi :-D thanks mnan!

  • Any idea were I can find the cmos battery on an officejet 8000 wireless? Its not on the left, or right side. I'd hate to have to take it apart to do this.

  • Is there somebody can tell me where can I locate the battery of my printer(HP deskjet 3920)?

  • HP Support sucks. I have all the latest drivers and it still only works about 50%

Of the time. There tech support sucks big time. I will never buy another of there printers again.

In fact, I will never buy any of there products again Unless im willing to spend a whole day trying to get help from there support

  • anyone can tell me where is the battery for HP photosmart C6180

  • @yenhongtan I have a C6180 also. Did you ever find out where the battery is?. This sucker says to replace empty yellow cartridge. so I just spent near $12 for a new genuine 02 cart, and the sucker still says the same thing.

  • is there a program/software that resets the counter?

  • is this trick work on epson?

  • Does anyone know where this battery is located in the cp1700 ? thank you so much

  • this trick could work if there were not a few problems. the ink cartridges in the model(s) shown use a chip stuck to them, just like most other ink cartridges. the difference is that the officejet series shown has one chip per tank and one chip per print head(has 4 or 5 print heads) all ink spray counters are stored there.

the cr2032 battery you show is likely used for fax/network info for the all-in-one functions of the printer. theres REAL mods to freeze the ink counters, this does nothing.

  • @GilliamVespa this just worked for us in our lab, good thing becuase it seems someone a couple years ago stocked up on hp 14 ink...

  • Hi, does anyone know where the battery is in the v40? Thanks

  • well its not advisable if you have the luxury of using original HP inks. when they go past their use by date, the ink turns into a jelly. looks disgusting.

  • I have a CIS on my HP 1315, just now it prints sentences in half therefore unreadable. I sucked the ink out to make new one flow but only goo comes out. I still have alot of ink left in the reservior!! how do i fix this

  • well lucky for you, you have an older HP which will use ink carts that have the print head built in. any print problems like blocked nozzles. just place the print head on a piece of tissue that has been soaked in very hot water. this will draw the ink out and help dissolve any goo that has blocked the nozzles. dont be tempted to wipe, only dab the printhead as you will push the paste like ink back into the nozzles and block it further. but if its goo, its out of date or poor quality ink. ;)

  • ok thanks :D

  • any body know where the battery is on the 1507? thanks

  • i swear to god, some videos are being deleted because they're showing people how they can reset their actual ink cartidges.

This video is striaghforward, but some new printer products have built in chips in the cartidge forcing you to NOT ONLY buy a genuine cartidge, but forcing you to not be able to operate your black or color if both are not genuine and full.

What's worse is that the new ink cartridges are hardly fill. Mine lasted about a hundred pages of fast draft (econo printing)!!!!

  • HP have recently released a software update which will tell you that you are using an incompatible or incorrect cartridge. just uninstall all HP software and re-install, but look out for the ' would you like HP to check for software updates' option , just look below and tick ' i prefer to do this myself ' tadaaa you can now carry on using compatible or refilled carts. HP and Canon are the only decent printers i know of that allow you to continue to print when one cart is empty.

  • vvv

  • fuck yeah....

  • fuck you marketing hp

i will reset my hp .

  • shit

  • My god what a FAKE.There is no CMOS battery in the printers recently, all data about printing is saved in the cartridge chip

  • HP uses both chips and CMOS battery.

  • By-Pass HP Exp #10,11,13,& 88

new cartridge of the same color or used empty cartridge that is not exp. either one works

    1) on all these cart the chip is in the bottom of the cart. you will also notice hair line split in the botom of the cart running horizontal length of it covered by the color of the cart take knife cut sticker covering split on both sides of cart.

    2) snap bottom of cart off

    3) Take non-expired cart do the same thing then simply swap botoms & strart printing.

  • "buy new cartridges" said HP marketing person...

  • it will work on hp f4280? help me pls........ thanks

  • anybody know where the battery is on a officejet pro k550?

  • HP k550 does not have a battery.

    It is What I do:

    - turn off the printer

    - set computer clock back (mine is set to 01/01/2008), try a date that works for you.

    - Turn on the printer and let it do the head cleaning procedure.

    - When done, print anything just to make sure it received the *old* date from the computer.

    - That is it.

    - Don't turn printer off and on again or it will eat up lots of ink and you will need to do it all over again. I leave mine on all the time.

    See ya!

  • I have an HP d135 and in the software it allows you to synchronize the time of the computer with the time of the printer. I am wondering if it that when I installed the software on my computer. Should we synchronize when the date is rolled back on your computer? You can turn off windows auto time synch setting in clocks options.

  • I use those refillable cartridges and one day all the ink lights came up blinking..I was about to dump the printer and I did what I said before and worked. I could just buy a new set of cartridges and try my luck, but doing the date procedure saves me some money. I cannot tell about your printer, but anyways, if your printer has trouble with the cartridges just do what I did. set computer date back, turn on printer, print something, set date correct, leave printer on. try it, it is free.

  • I just did it on my 7100 and it WORKED!

    You rock!!!!!!!

  • This may work on some models, but on the hp officejet 4215xi, the battery is soldered in. This may apply to other models as well. Beware before taking the time to disassemble.

  • Soldered in battery may be even easier. You just short the battery with a paper clip for no more than a few seconds.

  • @inutopia67 FYI: just opened my HP C4280 no such battery on that side there. Suffering from message "“Incompatible print cartridges” and can only reset for 1 printer job using the menu of the printer as explained by ProfessorInk2006 "HP Print Cartridge(s) Missing or Not Detected Fix"

  • Nice to reuse ink

  • I can't find the battery in my PSC 2210... Could anybody help me plz ?

  • How to reset HP Deskjet D2460

  • Thank you so much for this great video! I know you will be helping many people to find a solution for this scam by HP.
