  • Good to see Ruu back on Ryu

  • ive seen some of ruu's older matches.. and he was really good.. beating alot of good players.

but i guess now hes slacking a little

  • inspiring effort by Ru

  • Who is known to have one the top Ryu's in Japan and the USA ???

  • best jpn ryu imo is NAMIJIN. usa? used to be frankie3s, but sadly he doesnt play anymore. frankie regularly made the US SBO team and could hold his own against some of japan's best

  • Haven't all foreign teams been knocked out in the first round in all SBOs?

  • actually no. i remember reading that the USA did fairly well in the earlier sbos. i only follow 3S, and iirc, pyro frankie and arlieth got like 5th or something with 2 wins in sbo2. they also lost to the winning sbo team (i think). wong and ortiz got past the 1st round in sbo3. but of late the jpnese have really been hammering down...

  • Ruu is solid but unimpressive. He's just not creative enough, uses all the most usual Ryu tricks, so many players know how to have a drop on him. For creative and unpredictable Ryu play, look for Namijin.

  • i love watching people use ryu in tournys

  • Wow, even though Ruu lost, I think he's got a solid Ryu.

  • I like that Ryu player's style

  • Even though Ruu is about to lose, I'm glad he's playing Ryu again.

  • seriously
