@hgcx Besides the fact that Deadmau5 vs Aphex Twin makes no sense, as they don't even make similar styles, Deadmau5 would lose by a landslide. While I love Deadmau5, his music isn't particularly original and he's a fairly recent DJ. Aphex Twin on the other hand has more or less been around for 15 years, and has carved out his own original niche in electronic music across several genres. While both are great producers, I'd say Aphex is more talented by far.

Despite my subjective interpretation of this clip, i think you can agree there still that there is an objective component involved when making a judgement. Otherwise, it would be possible to say that after comparing this video with something made by some main stream pop artist is just your subjective interpretation.

And yes, sometimes people overestimate both the quality and the amount.

Most people can't be bothered to get their facts straight (i.e. through further studying which does NOT involve Wikipedia), and therefore the probability of them building an inaccurate opinion is high. In this case Aphex Twin uses "bad quality" as a part of his music - he prefers not to use high end equipment.
