  • heh...what´s wrong with these people??! you should see the night in Bratislava...the roof was on fire... :D

  • oh que rudo?? jajajaj suena chido una aprte, peroa la larga es tedioso y aburrido, mas sin un vocal que seguir como Dave.

  • I still think he could and should refine his Live performances to fit his Recoil material, Live drums and bass and a sick lighting engineer to go with the synth sections would blow the audiences minds, maybe even sections that allow for improvisinational jams that seemlessly wind in and out of the song structure taking you on a musical journey throughout the evening. Hell, I'm starting to think I should put something together like this, hmm... it would be pretty cool indeed.

  • Tapping keys on a laptop of pre-programed DM music for an hour isn't "playing a set". Anyone in the audience could've perfomed this just as easily, myself included. I really hope this isn't what's become of Alan, he's far too talented of a musician to have to resort to this. Look how bored he looks! This is far from a "performance" for anyone with the musical background he has. I just hope the audience didn't fork out alot of money for this event, if you did, you got ripped off royaly.

  • @tumonni1040 okay, i rather should have said he "performed a set". Of course there was not much "playing". I think this particular performance is not the best reference for what he does now, since it was one of the very first shows he did after a long time of stage abstinence. I admit that the whole thing wasn't that spectacular, but Alan knows this and changed a few elements of his performance right after. Anyway, this was intended to be a musical presentation, not a concert performance...

  • @tumonni1040 and, to add this, no one got ripped off, since this was part of a monthly depeche mode party with an appropriate entrance fee. so i guess everyone saw this just as a very special bonus.

  • @5UhrMorgens All the same, I certainly hope he finds something an outlet for his talent. It just seems a bit weird that after all this time he hasn't been able to put something really cool together musically, I would think it would be easy for him given his talent and repitation. Maybe get together with a younger group of musicians, the same way Paul McCartney has or what Joe Strummer did before his passing. It added alot more energy to the music. Can you imagine how cool that would be?

  • @tumonni1040 alan always said it was not a "concert", that it was impossible to play these tracks in the true meaning of the sense, we bought tickets on the understanding it was about the music not a live music performance

  • thanks a lot!

    why dont u

    come to Japan?

  • not much a show.. I think Alan should play keyboard like old times!!! cheers

  • WTH. I guess folks in Cologne are just "used" to watching great performances like this? Seems like they are on prozac. I guarantee you if Alan ever comes to the San Francisco Bay Area, the crowd will be MUCH more lively!! I wished this remix was available...love it.

  • what happened to dancing? If there was a good reason to Move it, here it is

  • Not much of a show. Two guys with laptops.

  • That crowds dead!!

  • Good quality. Thanks for this

  • what a shitty atmosphere

  • Brilliant

  • he leaves depeche mode, only to end up playing their stuff :S

  • @bonzot @bonzot That was just ONE Song in a complete set of Recoil material. And keep in mind, this song , especially this arrangement and mix is also very much HIS material, HIS work. By the way, Roger Waters plays whole concerts with Pink Floyd Songs. ;) Anyway, Alan should return to Depeche, and i guess he will.

  • @5UhrMorgens

But to be fair, Roger Waters wrote most of the songs anyway. lol

  • @5UhrMorgens alan deserves a much bigger crowd, which i suppose he could achieve again by rejoining dm. he should be playing in a packed arena in front of thousands of fans, rather than on a laptop with some random dude

  • @5UhrMorgens WELL HE DIDN´T LEAVE BECAUSE OF THE MUSIC...

  • @5UhrMorgens Moreover, all arranged DM music - is HIS work. Except for tunes, written by Gore. Alan IS a sound of DW, or at least he was

  • @bonzot so what???It's his music.

  • @bonzot It's just some fragments for the Aggro Mix. Why wouldn't he play whatever he wants to from the albums he produced? Everybody knows DM sound from Black Celebration to SOFAD is basically Alan's work. Just a listen to Never Let Me Down Again original Martin demo would tell you that, because you obviously don't know it.

  • @SubterraneaCCS really, you don't need to tell me that, i've spent a crapload of time on the recoil website reading his q&a's and i'm perfectly aware about his extremely significant input in dm between 83 and 95, not to mention being a big fan of his

  • @SubterraneaCCS where can i hear martin's demo?

  • @bonzot He's every right to play their stuff, he was the hardest working and most dedicated of the four of them. He spent hours perfecting their sound so why shouldn't he be able to play them as a PART of his set? Sure I was watching the making of Some Great Reward where Martin, Dave and Fletch had holidays booked and the mixing of the album ran late and they headed off on hols while Alan stayed on with Daniel Miller to finish the album.

  • @budgethemusicsponge calm your fucking farm people, all of you seem to see the uploader's thumbed response up to my comment and don't care to read my later comments. i am very much aware of alan's contributions and how he effectively defined dm's sound, so stop talking to me like an ignorant child because i'm very well aware of what the situation was like

  • Alan komm zurück!!!

  • JAJJAAJ AMO ALAN .... PERO ME PARECE K ESTA JUNTO A PANCHO MELO ..CLARO CON UNOS AÑOS MAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRANDE ALAN ... CHILE TE ESPERA!!!!!

  • BTW mate, this is not a Depeche Mode party. This is A Strange Hour with Alan Wilder.

  • @noxis93 by the way...you're wrong! This particular Strange Hour was part of the monthly Depeche Mode Party located near Cologne's Main Station ;-)

Alan signed autographs during the party. He even walked over the dancefloor through the celebrating crowd...ironically during "It's no good!" :-P

  • @5UhrMorgens Ignorant me! How could I make such an awkward assumption.

I'm going to cut my veins now... :(

  • @noxis93 feel free to do whatever you want to overcome this shame. ;)

  • Thanx for the video. I agree, what a boring crowd. I wouldn't play there again.

  • alan I bet create this for DM weird to see no one dancing just standing there in

    amazzzzzze ment

  • De la CSM!! Alan is from other galaxy. Way too advanced to go back to the fast fashion business...

  • Wow, amazing remix!

  • @Steve123458 It's based on the Aggro mix from the Never Let Me Down Again single, also on most newer versions of the Music for the Masses album CD.

  • Hehe some waving hands around there!

    Thanks for the video!!!
