  • im auditioning for this play at my school :)

  • this is absolutely great! My school is about to do it too. But I really wish we would be comical, like you guys are doing. I enjoyed this play soo much!

I'll have to show this to my teacher and show him that can't all be tragedy.

  • @harmoniouspanda Thank you so very much! Yes, this play is really rather comical in places. I find that when you play the comedy, it makes the drama and tragedy that much more. If you're sad throughout (which the play isn't written sadly), then the audience is exhausted from the start.

Break a leg on your production!

  • 1:42 guy seems like he doesn't really wanna be there, he is one of the only ones that doesn't turn around

  • This beats reading the damn thing. I must say the play is definitaly meant to be seen rather than read. Great Job.

  • It will be a great information for me.

Our school is doing this, in Chinese !

  • I wish our schools was this good...I play the 2nd dead woman and Im the stage managers understudy which is played by a female! Lol Actually being such a small school constable warren and the baseball players and the professor are girls

  • ive read the book and its awesome

  • my school is doing this at the moment, and quite honestly, we're nowhere as good as these guys!!!

Plus, I play Wally (Wendy)... and I'm a girl.... :P

  • Great video

  • My school did this also

  • i saw this play for the first time in the 11th grade and had no clue what it was about and i cried and cried...so glad that you uploaded this!! i love it!

  • I'm sorry, but this is bad. My school is putting this show on in two days and I know im probably biased, but ours is so much better. This show is serious and it shouldn't be a comedy. The emotion in this show is supposed to be so understated that you can only pick up bits and pieces. Turning the show into a comedy is a disgrace to it. Good job, guy.s Great job.

  • @ImaFushyXD AHHHH i love you :) and you spelled my name wrong

  • @erifilidraklellis You make a valid point. But it is also incorrect. To play only serious emotions or very few emotions at all makes your characters extremely disconnected and you audience feels nothing for them. The comedy allows you to connect to the characters. Your serious emotions are all for naught if your audience doesn't care about you. The whole show is about life, and life is funny. I think you are looking at this a bit too narrowly.

  • We're performing this in my high school. I'm playing the part of Mrs. Webb. We aren't nearly this good.. it's going to be an embarrassment.

  • I'm in 8th grade, i have the role of Rebecca up at our university I feel ashamed to know that the role was demeaned by someone older than I.

  • no offense, but this is awful. you changed around all the lines, and the acting is so bad. this is not how its meant to be at all. for example:

he might be disconnected from grovers corners.. the line is he's discontented.. difference.

i feel like you made it into a comedy. its not. its very understated humor if there is any, and it takes away from the feel and message of the show.

  • @myspace89 Thornton wilder is not Shakespeare and this is high school theatre. If you are going to treat the script like gold then you may want to see some more theatre. And once again, comedy is part of life. I have seen this show played with no comedy and it is so very boring and the characters are like robots on the stage that you dont really care about.

  • The actors really need to work on their pace.

  • I'm playing Mr. Webb in my school. It seems to me that the way this Mr. Webb read his lines changed the character to something completely different. :/

  • I'm Mr. Webb in my school...

  • I did this in Freshman year in high school. Wally Webb! It was a great experience. I like these actors.

  • this was a really good play my skewls doing it :)

  • lol fatboy

  • we are having our auditions for this play tomorrow. I really hope I get to play Mrs. Gibbs.

  • this is a really amazing production and it's really well done.

  • @laaviebohemee No - but thank you! I directed it.

  • just read the book :3

  • this would be much better if it was a musical

  • @kiwiislaura It actually was made into a musical once, but did not succeed very well. The song "Love and Marriage" (used as the theme for "Married ... with Children" was a song from the musical version of "Our Town." (Remember the stage manager's line that says act II was called "Love and Marriage?")

  • is this a rehersal

  • im reading this book atm, any1 know where part 2 is at? i didnt find a link

anyways great job with the acting

  • @Famous48Ster You can see the second and third acts linked above.
