  • you play like a god :D

    NICE

  • How'd you get a Mira with Starla pickups?

  • Just to thank your for your review. I finally bought mine (after searching for a while in the States) in a music store in England!

Now my last question: I am a begginer-intermediate level student and I want to buy a tube amp (low to mid budget) that brings out the best from this guitar tone wise, which one would you recommend?

  • can you still use the coil tap?

  • Yes. They sound great in single coil mode. Enough for me to say it's better than any of the PRS single coil tones I've tried.

  • @taesahn thanks for the info :) now to look for one

  • Check out a PRS Stella...They have this pickup standard. To me, they tend to have a brighter overall sound than the Mira...less 'round' in the mids, but you will have an idea of the pickup's character. Good hunting.

  • Hi taesahn, thanks for the info. Do you have the name of the store where you bought yours? I live in the New York area and I have not found any yet.

  • Hi, thanks for the review. In order to buy the guitar with the Starla pickups, do you have to go straight to the PRS factory? or is it possible to do it through a regular store like Guitar Center or Musician's friend?. Thanks for the info.

  • It's a factory guitar. I saw several with the Stellas in my area when I bought mine. I truly believe that someone at PRS recognized how great the pickup and combination are and started pushing them out into the public. I am still in love with it.

  • This is for sure my next guitar in a couple months because everyone i've ever heard has excellent tone, love it. What is the nut width of the wide thin? I have small hands and I play fenders and ernie ball axis'. I don't know if I should go with the wide thin or the regular. I'm a fan of the stock pups but that's just me, I also like the new mira x.

  • This one is a standard width. I was comfortable with the wide fat carve on my old standard 22...but the sound doesn't suffer on this with the smaller size.

  • What color do you have? I just got the black mira but I'm thinking of returning it for what ever color you have.

  • what color do you have. i just g

  • How is your adjusment of Defender ?

    Cheers, Edi

  • Master volume defeated, Bright off, Volume at 9:00, Bass at 10:30, Middle 12:30, Treble 12:00, Presence 9:00

  • Hey thanks for this review man, I just ordered a Starla w/ the bigsby and can't wait to get it next week. The pickups really have great tone and a wide range of sounds you can get from these things.

  • hey could you post another vid of this guitar but do some distorted tones? thanks

  • ... ... check out my other vids, dude!

  • Fine guitar and fantastic amp, thanks.

    Cheers, edi

  • 50 watt Kustom Defender. It is a single channel, single 12 inch combo with EL34's. It is, in my opinion, one of the biggest bargains out there for small tube amps. Check out my demos...there are a few on my youtube page.

  • Sounds great! What kind of amp are you playing through?
