The best soldiers come from Detroit, they know how to fight, run, hide, kill, use guns, and oppress the weak. Their skills in urban warfare are unmatched. Boot camp is a walk in the park for them. I wounder why that is? Oh ya I forgot the US takes care of its problem by having wars. Well at least they have a job and their life expectancy went up, by joining the army. All this makes me sound like a bigot, unfortunately its true. If you want change,anybody who wants to go to university, must join.

Itys often been said that its a rich mans war, poor mans fight but the US military takes the biscuit. It seems they are shameless about recruiting poor kids desperate to earn enough for an education, Afro Americans who are subject to routine racism in their daily lives and non US citizens desperate earn citizenship. For what? To fight a war in Iraq that was illegal in international law and another in Afghanistan thats not military winnable.

Kinda funny how when it comes to war, the Rich spoil kids who grew up in a good neighborhood almost never enlist for military service, but its always those young kids that grew up in bad areas of the cities who volunteer to stand up and fight for this country and all they ask from us, is NOT to send them into harm's way unless it is absolutely necessary.

this is extremely asanine. of course the armed forces spend more time recruiting poor people - they're more likely to enlist. do you want the army wasting your tax dollars by putting recruitment centers in the wrong places?

moreover, by discouraging willing adults from joining up you are increasing the chances the government would implement a draft. oh, and whichever poor kids are discouraged from joining the army because of your "art" will probably end up joining gangs. nice work.

my comment does not regard the army or its actions in general; i generally disapprove of american foreign policy. but these artists still defaced a government building for no apparent reason.

i can't help but to the that this act of vandalism was incited more by the army's actions in iraq than its recruiting efforts in the states.

I would like more info concerning the statistics of those who actually join the armed forces at a young age. What is the ratio of poor, minorities to non-poor, non-minorities who join the armed forces?
