someone i need a anser so i can prove to my cousen that cliff burton isn,t the best bass player whos better bass player yes bass player or cliff burton
There isn't one. Arguing that there is just goes to show how stupid people are and ignorant of individuals talent. There are certain bassists who do things better than others and have brought new things to the instrument, cliff burton wasn't one of them however. Tell that metallica loving wilkins to listen to bands who care about music rather than money.
@beeferstew2 I can probably name a dozen that are better than Cliff (may he rest in peace). Even if you're just talking about metal bassists though, Billy Gould of Faith No More and John Myung of Dream Theater are much better bassists. Les Claypool is indeed awesome though I'm not sure what genre I'd classify Primus. Sting is an extraordinary bassist, and let's not forget Chris Squire from Yes or John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin.
This song is nearly four decades old (1971), and it still sounds as fantastic as ever, one of my favorites by this legendary R&R band, a classic 70's track that has, is, and will stand the test of time.
dosent the beat of this song sound like "love machine"?

yeah, some of it is relatively complicated... but, the main bass line is just an accending minor pentatonic scale.
sounds great though.
