Omg you people need to realize that they are not brining back any old characters into the new game. At the Tokyo announcement they already said that they will avoid re-adding characters from the previous game. Plus this is mvc "3" mvc "2" and there is supposed to be new characters.

@theubergamehead That's because the sounds clips really ARE Jin Saotome. It's the sounds clips from Tech Romancer for the dreamcast. Jin in his mech, Blodia was a secret character in that game. Tech Romancer is a really great and overlooked Capcom fighter

I looked at the video and i listen to the character's voice dispite the video had a static problem. @Ryuk551 DLC is pretty obvious. Niitsuma stated that he wanted more characters in the game, but they couldn't be included due to deadlines. Anybody can guess that they're going to create those characters and release them as DLC.

Who's in and who's out for Marvel is because of Marvel's own decisions. The fact that Capcom delievered most of it's new choices based on highly demanded characters is proof they care. You can't use the Marvel side as justification to say Capcom doesn't listen to the fans.
@ViciousDeliciousIV I didn't say PW was requested over MM. Just that he was among the top 10. He was #2 in fact and MMX was #1 and a few weeks ago the producer said that he wanted to add 20 new characters(58 total), but the higher ups wanted the game to be out before Christmas. Sounds like he may have had some other characters planned and MM may have been one of them and that may be why he didn't get in. Venom was #1 for the Marvel poll, but there's an issue regarding him. I'll address this next
Continuing from last post, the problem with Venom is that 90% of the people who voted for him probably don't read comics and are mostly basing him off the 90s SM cartoon. Eddie Brock is no longer Venom. Hasn't been for years. And that's the version Capcom wants. However Marvel wants to the current version which is Flash Thompson. This version is nothing like Eddie's Venom and if that one got in people would be complaining because they'd have no idea what's going on.
Continuing from last post, believe it or not Marvel seems to care who's currently wearing the suit. In both MUA games Venom was Mac Gargan(who was currently Venom at the time). They were able to get away with that there, but they want be able to get away with putting Flash in MVC3. And in the upcoming SM game, Eddie is Anti-Venom. Which is what he is now.
So no offense to people who want Eddie, but regardless of what any poll says we're not getting him. It's a waste of time voting for him.

@ViciousDeliciousIV Exactly how does Cyke have it all? Most of his moveset consists of him shooting beams which is already presented by other characters. Beams are such a fundamental part of his design, but due to the number of characters with beams and other tools I don't see what they could give Cyclops to make him stand out.
Magneto has beams. . . and his Magneto-ness and crazy rushdown.
MODOK has beams. . . and his perma-flight mode, and his variety of wacky specials.
Not only were both hypers he had basically the same(one was just a smaller beam that could be aimed), but Ryu, Akuma, Iron Man, and MODOK have similar hypers.
@ViciousDeliciousIV Ken's not even in the game(and regardless of what people say is not "completely" different from Ryu) and I could barely tolerate Akuma's inclusion when he was announced, but at least he plays further apart from Ryu than Ken does and has moves which neither Ryu or Ken have.
And Cyke anyway falls into the list of characters Marvel doesn't want.

Just heard a interview with S-Kill and I don't see Jin getting added anytime soon. They hadn't even planned on adding Strider but the outcry was enough that they were willing to bring back one more vet. Strider just barely beat out Megaman for that spot. My guess, if they do more DLC, we'll see Megaman, venom and probably psylock before we see Jin if at all. Which Sucks.

@ViciousDeliciousIV You do know I was being sarcastic right? Those 4 were in the top 10 most requested Capcom characters. And as for Cyke, Gambit & Venom, you're blaming the wrong side here. Who's in and who's out for Marvel is because of Marvel's own decisions. The fact that Capcom delievered most of it's new choices based on highly demanded characters is proof they care. You can't use the Marvel side as justification to say Capcom doesn't listen to the fans.

@ViciousDeliciousIV I didn't say PW was requested over MM. Just that he was among the top 10. He was #2 in fact and MMX was #1 and a few weeks ago the producer said that he wanted to add 20 new characters(58 total), but the higher ups wanted the game to be out before Christmas. Sounds like he may have had some other characters planned and MM may have been one of them and that may be why he didn't get in. Venom was #1 for the Marvel poll, but there's an issue regarding him. I'll address this next

Continuing from last post, the problem with Venom is that 90% of the people who voted for him probably don't read comics and are mostly basing him off the 90s SM cartoon. Eddie Brock is no longer Venom. Hasn't been for years. And that's the version Capcom wants. However Marvel wants to the current version which is Flash Thompson. This version is nothing like Eddie's Venom and if that one got in people would be complaining because they'd have no idea what's going on.

Continuing from last post, believe it or not Marvel seems to care who's currently wearing the suit. In both MUA games Venom was Mac Gargan(who was currently Venom at the time). They were able to get away with that there, but they want be able to get away with putting Flash in MVC3. And in the upcoming SM game, Eddie is Anti-Venom. Which is what he is now.
So no offense to people who want Eddie, but regardless of what any poll says we're not getting him. It's a waste of time voting for him.

@ViciousDeliciousIV Cyclops? A fav? Maybe based on what he did in the comics but are you telling me that he's a favorite amongst MvC2 players? Cyclops is one of the most generic characters from the previous games and has never made a fucking good jump to a fighting game. His moveset is too limited since all he has are eye lasers. That's it! No I'd say if Cyclops is a favorite then those people have no taste.

@ViciousDeliciousIV No your argument is invalid for even putting those three in as examples. Mega Man has 20+ years of Robot Master weapons, Storm can control more than just lightning and Wolverine has his own fighting style with just his claws that you can use to make a moveset.
And no Cyclops had jack shit. All he was was another shitty shotoclone who had two Supers that were just nothing more than giant eye beams. Stop letting your fanboyism towards that asshole blind you. He is a waste.

@ViciousDeliciousIV Oh and to fucking drive the point even further across, UMvC3 gave Viper eye lasers and Ryu's Shinku Hadoken the ability to rebound off of walls. Anything Cyclops had to stand out has been given to other characters. He's not contributing shit to this franchise any more.

@ViciousDeliciousIV Exactly how does Cyke have it all? Most of his moveset consists of him shooting beams which is already presented by other characters. Beams are such a fundamental part of his design, but due to the number of characters with beams and other tools I don't see what they could give Cyclops to make him stand out.
Magneto has beams. . . and his Magneto-ness and crazy rushdown.
MODOK has beams. . . and his perma-flight mode, and his variety of wacky specials.

@ViciousDeliciousIV Ken's not even in the game(and regardless of what people say is not "completely" different from Ryu) and I could barely tolerate Akuma's inclusion when he was announced, but at least he plays further apart from Ryu than Ken does and has moves which neither Ryu or Ken have.
And Cyke anyway falls into the list of characters Marvel doesn't want.

Just heard a interview with S-Kill and I don't see Jin getting added anytime soon. They hadn't even planned on adding Strider but the outcry was enough that they were willing to bring back one more vet. Strider just barely beat out Megaman for that spot. My guess, if they do more DLC, we'll see Megaman, venom and probably psylock before we see Jin if at all. Which Sucks.
