the zune hd is still like the best looking device around. such undeniably GREAT hardware. if only microsoft would make it's own wp7 hardware so that we could have a true successor to the zune hd. right now none of the wp7 devices are that exciting, they don't have the specs, nor do they have the looks.

Did I say anything about Apple? But since you mentioned it, Zune "The Works" - 120GB retails at $529. The Classic Apple iPod - 160GB is only $249.00. Zune HD - 64GB retails at $649.99 while the iPod touch - 64GB is $399.99. The high end iPod nano is still cheaper than the Zune equivalent by $10. I like Zune's software and interface, but the hardware is just too expensive. When it comes to portable media players, your arch nemesis, Apple leads the competition.

On Amazon, they up the price for new units because there are very few "new" units left. While still in production, there was no comparison. The Zune was definitely a lot cheaper than the iPod when comparing equivalent version.

your ipod touch does not include HD radio, you have to buy an adaptor. the software for the zune takes maybe 5 seconds to open on my pc running windows 7, while the ipod's iTunes software takes 10 times that to open . honestly im not a biased person, i have used both devices, ipod touch has been out longer, is still very costly compared to the zune, plus a zune will hold more media content than an ipod, simply because the zune uses a hard drive rather than flash, and now the zune uses a SSD!!

@t0m0369 zune's internet browser opens up almost instantly, also the new web browsing updates and the new gen of zune load a web page pretty fast, maybe a 1.5 to 2 seconds of page loading, its pretty fast now. so now there is absolutely no reason for me to pay more for a device with the name apple on it when ill save money on a zune from microsoft.

im very surprised by the zune hd. it looks great, it feels great, and overall performance is great. i dont have one yet but im gonna be getting one really soon hopefully. i couldnt decide over this or the ipod touch but i thought things over. the zune hd is smaller, has a better audio quality, different and new features, and the web browser is great. the web isnt cluttered with extra stuff that is not needed. and as far as the audio, the zune has a way better audio quality than the ipod touch.

Unfortunately, the HD has only 128 MB of RAM, which isn't nearly enough to run 10.1 in its full entirety. If Flash is going to be put in, it will have to be implemented cleverly.
