Obama has picked the right one. Someone who can truly help put this country back on track, unlike McCain who picked someone to attract women voters just to get elected. Obama-Biden great pair, American is on his way back y'all watch out.
Agreed... I can't wait to see how much of a fool Mccain is going to make out of himself tonight.. I can't see his anger is going to lash out... Palin sounds just like the voice of Carman's mother off South Park
If you take Bush Sr. out of the equation, every war we fought in the twentieth century was started with a Democrat at the helm. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam. kennedy did not want out of Vietnam . He and LBJ had a welfare state waiting in the wings and they needed the money created by the war machine to fund it. LBJ, to his credit, introduced the Civil Rights Act. And more Republicans supported its passage in proportion to their numbers in Congress than Democrats.
Now having a chance to compare Palin's acceptance speech to Biden..I have concluded Palin was full of sarcasim and Biden full of compassion. Sorry Senator McCain, Your V.P. choice may become your political version of "The Deadliest Catch"
I watched Sarah Palin last night accept her party's nomination. Is there any doubt left that Joe Biden is the MOST qualified candidate? He talked vision and passion and KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE. She was a shrill, nation dividing candidate who will bring the campaign to even lower standards than the Rove machine has. In fact,I think she helped Rove get his master's in trash!
Falin Palin's speech was pretty lame, it wasnt even close to the first 10 mins of this speech. You wouldnt need to hear a resume of a true VP pick when he/she introduces themselves. Obama in 08!!
Even if I'm a Filipino I support Obama-Biden. Just hearing Palin say that being a "small-town mayor is like being a community organizer except that it has actual responsibility" makes me shudder at America's future.
Community organizers have ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES.
I'd like to congratulate Governor Palin on her first ever republican speech to a crowd over 200 and look forward to hearing her debate the real issues at hand and not such things as Styrofoam pillars, badges, and presidential seals. By the way does she actually believe that Senator Obama can part move water hmmmmm.
I think this was about 10 times more substance and 1/10 the zingers than Potshot Pailin's speech. Thank you Senator Biden for giving a speech that actually told us something relevant.
It scares me when so many people are downright dogmatic toward the Obama/Biden ticket. I'm also not liking people shoving Obama down my throat. I was going to vote for Obama, but now that everyone is doing it, I'm not so sure.
Obama is the perfect choise and everyone knows it!! All the Republican party and Mcain does is rat about Obamas past but this is the present so lets make the best of it!!!!
I just finished watching Palin's speech at the RNC. She touted her family for 10 minutes, then proceeded to outright lie about Obama's policies, then talk about how great of a guy McCain is because he was a POW and how much of a "maverick" he's been.
She never said anything about their own policies except that they'd drill AK, but said that Obama/Biden would "do nothing" about our energy crisis.
I really believe these guys are going to go the Whitehouse and roll up their sleeves and get something done that will help the majority of average and middle class Americans. This will happen. I believe it. Let change happen. Give hope a chance.
How come the Obama campaign has not focused on the estimated $418 billion dollar deficit in 2008 that was a surplus in 2000, the $4/gallon gas that was $1/gal, the millions of cut jobs, and the millions of jobs sent overseas?
Why not repeat these "facts" over and over again daily in your campaign until the voters get it.
Joe Biden, the great debator. Great speech, Senator Biden and Vice Presidential Nominee. This is the ticket. I can't wait to vote on November 4, 2008!
Obama and Biden are brilliant citizens of this society. We need more of them. Their combination is a perfect combination of experience and energy. I just don't know how Mccain and Palin want to debate with these two. If Barack and Biden are not elected, it is either something seriously wrong with the system or people are in serious denial. I am going to join the Ohio Democratic Party to run for these guys. OBAMA/BIDEN 2008.
The "John McCain was wrong, and Barack Obama was right." was very effective not because of the mantra, but because he highlighted Obama's, now popular, foreign policy decisions.''
Experience is the means to an end, and that end is "judgement". Experience doesn't give you good judgement.
Win or lose, Obama has already accomplished something fantastic in the United States. He has reawakened the giant. People everywhere are talking about politics with excitement. People who never cared or never thought about it before. He's helped us to shake off our jaded, cynical exteriors and remember that voters can actually change things! Get out there and vote!
Great speech! And Georgia needs more attention, so I agree with him. Those people are not getting better at a fast rate at all. They are in desperate need.
I wish i could vote this november, unfortunately i turn 18 in december! i am for obama/biden 100%! everyone please vote! we dont want another gore/ bush incident! we need you!! vote vote vote!!!
ok, no offense, I don't really care about what his mother told him about himself. I don't care about his philosophies of life... I want to hear about what he will do. And how he will do it. Anyone can say they have good relationship with they'er family, with Obama. But what about cutting straight to the chase?
I loved the Freudian slip! I've always liked Senator Biden, and I've been supporting Hillary very hard until she ended the roll call vote at the DNC and made a little speech and made Barack the candidate by acclimation; THAT was very powerful--it was for the unity of the party and the safety of our nation. it was also President Clinton's speech that moved me as well.
I really think that we will see a good change with Barack.
Biden is a great leader with an exceptional record. He can take on foreign enemies and take care of us at home, e.g, by writing the Violence Against Women Act.
Isn't it Barack who said we don't need the same as always, Washington insider making decisions, and he is going to bring CHANGE to Washington? Is that why he picks Joe Biden, longtime Washington insider to be his running mate? Joe Biden is a likable guy, and I think he is a decent fella, but he serves as one more earmark of Barack Obama's political hypocracy. We need to pay attention to these and other inconsistencies.
obama and biden are really smart. mccain's policies, like those of most other republicans are stupid and put pressure on the middle class, and some, like his attitude towards gays, are nothing but pure biggotry. i really hope obama gets elected, i will be voting for him

My mom is voting Dem for Obama though. I am so proud I got my Dad to see the light! My mom is 41, never voted! Enter Obama! lol
My parents are staunch Conservatives too. Like, Savage Conservatives. Biden might help them see the light too!
Gawd, Biden gives me goosebumps every time he speaks. That's what we need as a world leader, a goosebumper for all the RIGHT reasons. I am looking forward to not feeling nausea each time our president opens his mouth, let alone our vice-president. Be gone, Darth Vader!
glad to hear it. It must be frustrating for teens who wanna go for Obama, but then their conservative parents can't see the light of wisdom and reason and are still backing a third bush term.
A 5 minute walk from my house... here's part of the invitation I received... Can't wait!!!
Please join Barack Obama and Joe Biden at an event in Dublin, OH, where they will talk about their vision for bringing America together and creating the kind of change we can believe in.
I've been watching conventions for a long time now, and LAST NIGHT WAS PERHAPS THE MOST POWERFUL CONVENTION NIGHT I'VE *****EVER***** SEEN. THE SPEECHES WERE POWERFUL, THERE WAS REAL EMOTION, AND THE ISSUES WERE RIGHT ON!!!
It's gonna be tough for Obama to follow three incredible nights in a row of these amazing speeches!!!!!
The Dems are having a great convention. I would like to thank Dish Network for the live feed minus the useless and distracting commentary. Really nice to see it without people telling me how to feel about it.
Yep, I'm watching it on the Dish Network live feed too!! It's great because you actually get to see *ALL* the speakers, not just the ones that that cable news wants to show you, and no commercials running over speakers like veterans and community organizers who the news networks think are too "small" to waste air time on.
One is neither part of the problem nor the solution, one is merely a consequence of the situation, take responsibility of the consequence, improve the situation.
He's a good speaker yet I still feel that despite his passion there is still that drive to appease the television audience by telling them what they want to hear.
Pure awesome. I love how he doesn't be disagreeable - he points out the differences in issues, doesn't disparage Senator McCain's service, but points out like a true patriot that the man is wrong, and things could be better.
im not even American, and id vote for these two... might even make me a bit prouder to say that ya'll are my neighbors.
best part of the speech, was the part where he talks about him mom telling him, to get back out their and bloody their noses so he can walk on the street.
failure at some point in your life is inevitable, giving up is unforgivable
By raising taxes on rich companies, corporations, and rolling back the Bush tax cuts for the upper class. Rolling back the Iraq War would free up billions per month as well.
Yes, yes, yes, history in the making and beyond. Congrats to Obama/Biden, we're well on our way to claiming the White House for every, fellow Americans, not just the rich, Democracy...of/for/by the people. Let freedom ring. :P

thegirlsafan 3 years ago
glad to hear it. It must be frustrating for teens who wanna go for Obama, but then their conservative parents can't see the light of wisdom and reason and are still backing a third bush term.

That is freakin' awesome!!! I actually got goosebumps when I read that.

Obama posts videos of hope, McCain only posts videos mocking Obama. Why does McCain do that? Because he can't promise any hope, but Obama can!
Smazaleenon 3 years ago 220
no because he hopes that people are smart enough to see what a liar obama is, if america elects obama they deserve what they get,

Blacksun1942 3 years ago 17
I love Biden, down to earth, speaks with conviction. Great selection, Obama!
A prayer also goes out to our brave men and women overseas, please stay safe, we will be bringing you home soon.

The Dems are having a great convention. I would like to thank Dish Network for the live feed minus the useless and distracting commentary. Really nice to see it without people telling me how to feel about it.
1dirtymerkin1 3 years ago 6
the best channel to watch is on cspan no interruptions
izzyidl1 3 years ago 7
Yep, I'm watching it on the Dish Network live feed too!! It's great because you actually get to see *ALL* the speakers, not just the ones that that cable news wants to show you, and no commercials running over speakers like veterans and community organizers who the news networks think are too "small" to waste air time on.
Blacksun1942 3 years ago 14
One is neither part of the problem nor the solution, one is merely a consequence of the situation, take responsibility of the consequence, improve the situation.

I always liked Joe Biden. Nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves at last.
DeanWho 3 years ago 13
He's a good speaker yet I still feel that despite his passion there is still that drive to appease the television audience by telling them what they want to hear.

russia isn't challenging georgia, georgia is challenging south ossetia and abkazia.
trophymursky 3 years ago 7
I wouldn't say that Russia is "challenging" Georgia. That would be like saying the New York Yankees "challenged" a local little league team.

Lol, How do you spend more on everything and still cut taxes?
oooooDisgruntledMonk 3 years ago 2
By raising taxes on rich companies, corporations, and rolling back the Bush tax cuts for the upper class. Rolling back the Iraq War would free up billions per month as well.
