  • @kellmac21 Thanks, Kell! I'm excited to see it too. And that's awesome that you're rereading Something Like Summer! That's quite the compliment. :)

  • OMG congrats Jay!!! im so excited to hear that news!!! totally looking forward to it.

i subcribed to Judas Kiss channel and eagerly watched every vid they posted. personally i love the film's color

watched a small part of Judas Kiss the other day. it seems to be a nice movie :D

at first i was rather put off by the tag scifi thing but it turned out great!!

  • Jay, I'm so happy for you! Although I'm not surprised at all with such a great story as the movie's basis. I did enjoy Judas Kiss, I'm sure you and J.T. will create an engaging and "destined for the favorites" list movie version! Casting will be key, my fingers and toes will be crossed that you find the perfect actors to portray Ben, Tim and Allison! Couldn't be happier for you!

  • @madixon2 Aw, thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed Judas Kiss too. I agree that casting will probably make or break the Something Like Summer film. The story has been popular, and this director has talent, so it's up to the actors to pull it off. Not an easy feat!

  • I agree that fitting the entire book in one movie could be a huge challenge. The problem with Brent Corrigan is that he is too famous in the adult film industry and it tends to taint his character in a serious movie. I wish he hadn't made that many adult movies, but again, he has to start somewhere. It's a little unfortunate for him.

  • @JudgeRhadamanthys the "thinking about you naked" factor, right?! Haven't seen this film (yet, though I am intrigued), so can't really comment, but I suppose if the talent is there it can be overcome.

  • @JudgeRhadamanthys Maybe Brent Corrigan will be like Madonna. No one took her seriously as an actress, but she's had some good performances. Or am I the only one that likes the movie "Who's That Girl?" ;))

  • A movie?! Thats amazing!! Congratulations! I can't wait to see it!

  • love your books

  • @DUSTINISMS1 Thanks, Dustin!

  • Yay yay Jay! :D I'm so happy for you! I'm sure it'll turn out great!

  • OMG. Its going to be a movie?! I am so excited, this is going to be so amazing!!!! I can not wait to see it, it's going to be so great!

  • @OhLittleSparrow I hope so! Now it's just the waiting game. Too bad they can't make movies overnight! ;)

  • Hello Jay. I definitely plan to see "Judas Kiss." To go off topic a bit here, I want say that I have 10 chapters left to read in "Something Like Summer," and I am very impressed with you. I like your style, you are a marvelous writer. I am going to hate for this book to end, so I am looking forward to seeing the film when it is completed.

  • @act1wally Thank you, Walt! That's so sweet of you. I'm glad you've been enjoying the book so much. The end is a wild ride, so hang on to those handsome pants of yours!

  • OMG OMG YAY ^_^ I can't believe it I so wanted it to be a movie and now it's going to be that is truly amazing congrats :D and I can't wait to see it Judas Kiss looks good as well I definitely plan on watching it

  • @cianna15 Seems too crazy to be true, doesn't it? But it is! Let me know what you think once you've seen Judas Kiss. :)

  • @JayBellBooks yes it does so excited about it ^_^ and I'll definitely let you know what I think about Judas Kiss when I watch it

  • congrats on getting your book turned into a movie!

  • I can't think of a better book to be made into a movie. I'm excited ! I'll give Judas Kiss a try too.

  • I bought this DVD, and I was not very taken by it, but to each his own, I suppose. Nothing wrong with the acting, but the story didn't do anything for me. I just couldn't relate to it, as an older gay man. I wouldn't want to watch it again. I enjoy your video reviews, though, by the way. Keep them coming! Cheers!

  • @MrMusiclover41 Is there anything you would want to tell your younger self if you could meet him? That's how I related to the movie. There are a few things I would try to change in my past. Not much, but the temptation would be so strong. Not that my younger self would listen to me. ;)

  • @JayBellBooks Oh yes - there are definitely some things I would change if I could go back, but I was having such a grand, wild time when young, like you, I don't know if my younger self would listen! We definitely do not reason the same when in our 20's as in our 60's or 70's - believe me! But I am a 70 year old man who in some ways still thinks like a 25 year old! I am definitely way out of sync with most of my peers, gay or straight! Please review some more movies! I enjoy!

  • Sweet! I'm so happy Something Like Summer will be a movie. It is a great story to adapt. I hope you are happy with the result. I know it must be hard to give "Your baby" away like that. Congratulations! I had read a review about Judas Kiss, and it seemed very interesting before. Now I HAVE to go rent it. :)

  • @onyxman8 The idea of handing it over and trusting someone to treat the story well was intimidating, but my gut tells me I made the right choice. We'll find out! Be sure to tell me what you think of Judas Kiss!

  • Congratulations! That's awesome.
