This is such a powerful movie. I saw it the first time when I was 15. I lived in a home with an abusive step father and was on the edge of being a runaway myself. Not gonna say it kept me from running away, because it didn't, but it touched on a lot of the emotions I was goin through.

i love this movie.But i don't get why king just didn't grab his arm and punch he's light out.the kid was clearly beyon reason..You DON*T draw a gun on someone who already got you covered

This was a GREAT movie and an awesome scene..i get the chills every time. I only know 2 other people that have ever seen this movie and that is a shame.

I agree. This is quite possibly the BEST movie I have ever seen. VCR, DVD, and a copy on my PC. I watch it about twice a year. And I still - to this day - tell ANYONE about it, whenever the chance arises. And this climactic scene was one of the best in the movie, as well ... I LOVE IT .... TY for posting!

The really was a fantastic movie for it's time and it's a shame so many haven't discovered it.

This was by far the most powerful moment from the movie. I've loved that song ever since I 1st saw it.
