@artnuwa11 peat is unsustainable since it takes thousands of years to form and when removed contributes to global warming (as it is a long term 'sink' for CO2).
not only that, there are many threatened peat ecosystems, since the deposits are relatively uncommon.
I'm planning on planting a couple of blueberry bushes this upcoming spring. My Dad has some wonderful blueberry bushes that bear fairly early and give large sweet fruits. (although, this variety does not tend to bear as many fruits). I would like to plant this variety, but he cannot remember the name...Any recommendations would be appreciated?
hi, Willis Orchard has a great selection and recommendations for which plants to get for cross pollination. I have three kingds: Climax, Tifblue and Austin.
I haven't heard of Willis Orchard, but I will certainly check out my local garden shops for the varieties that you mentioned. Thanks for the recommendations.
When feeding weeds to rabbits for recycling, what weeds, if any, are not suitable for the bunnies? Annnd, if not good for bunnies, are they ok for goats? Thank you, I'm enjoying viewing your series one unit at a time.

Peat is much better. Pine needs take a long long time to break down.

Rake back the needles and then scrape the soil underneath and use that. Mulch with the needles.
