Sweep to backsweep, forward strokes don't move the bow laterally... posture is key... shoulders should be a bit in front of bottom of spine or people do the pirouette flip over move (which is a lot like a back deck roll off the non power face... which is a kickflip if you air it off an actual wave... anyway

Any one know what a Bliss stick rad is like for flat water cartwheeling?

I paddle a bliss stick flip stick and weigh about 60kg and are having trouble initiating the bow of the kayak, do I need a different boat or just to work harder?

And what is the model of the wavesport in the video

The kayak in the video is a ZG48.

I used to paddle a flipstick... the boat has quite some volume in the ends, so it's not an easy boat to initiate, esp. at 60 kg.

BUT it's not THAT hard either... from what I can remember, it's a boat that need to be put steeply on edge, and maintained at that steep edge all trough the cartwheels.

Perhaps you should learn the 2pump in an easier boat and then go back to your flipstick.

I'm just in the proces of bying a flipstick off my mate. IT IS AWSOME. i've paddled it a few times before and i love it. i'm just learning how to bow stall it with the double pump. I do weigh 70kg at 6.3 atm so that helps. keep paddling buys.
