  • nice ;)

  • could you please tell me how to put the number on the sphere like have it stuck on the pool balls?

  • Whats the name of the soundtrack used???

  • Far better than anything i could do with blender. very good job

  • 3ds max skills.

  • Ray tracing is awesome. Anyway it took you only 20sec to render single frame? I rendered small ray trayced scene 1280x1024 once and it took me HOUR on my C2D. Ray tracing will be in games soon, right? In 2010 Intel will release their gfx cards able to handle real time raytracing. This is gonna be interesting :D

  • very very very god job

  • Can you maybe tell me where you download/get the HDRI's in the first scene? or can you share them?

    nr1 movie +5

  • i have been on youtube for almost 3 years. i have almost a thousand favorites. i have seen over 10,000 videos. This was my fist fav. ever. :') memories

  • Perfeito parabens perfect congratulations...

  • whats the name of the first song ?

  • right here, right now by fatboy slim

  • however it samples Chemical Brothers - The Test ^^

  • wonderfull i like does refletions! But tell me something... why every bill is spining in one direction... I mean it is okay to fal in left but why the line in every bill is so symetric and stright? Unreal.

  • this is delicious

  • o_O Coolest animation ever seen...

  • that was one of the coolest things ive seen in a while

so hypnotizing, almost put me to sleep! 5/5

  • SICK

  • Ok the second song is "Dj Sasha - Xpander" for all you people who wanted it, its from wipeout 3 :)

  • does anyone know the name of the last music piece?

  • Sasha - Xpander

  • what's best version for draw sonic ?

  • dude great reflections.. good work man! must have taken ages to render

  • oww shit , that was so amazing;;;; plz i have 1024 MB ( geforce 8500 ) and 2G0 RAM .... i have 3ds max 8 .... i can make an animation with this quality ? plz if there is an other ( logiciel ) tell me

  • of course you can make 3d scenes with that quality but i just take a long time for render. most important in rendering is CPU. if you have strong CPU render just take less time. your RAM memory is ok, VGA too. You can make 3d scenes :) PEACE

  • rendering GPUs help too, taking a load off of the processor. the parent farm computer was a laptop with an nVidia 570M Quadro FX.

but as XfLoPL said, CPU power is most important for computations. physical RAM is hardly important as you can always bump up your vRAM as necessary. you can certainly render of this quality with your hardware albeit without an actual supercomputer it'll take years like the rest of it.

  • btw whats the song at the beg.?

  • fatboy slim - right here, right now

  • Unbelievable quality woaw ! that's great work

  • heum... it wont sorry!

  • totally impressive! 5/5

  • Incredible.

  • This was fucking awesome. I couldn't see any jaggies anywhere, but I suppose that's why it took weeks to render. And to think it only has 19,000 views, needs to be in 6 digits.

  • did catch the flickering from the GI? i actually used irradiance map to cut down the rendering time. if i did RAW GI, it probably would've taken at least six times longer to render. and to think it didn't take long enough...

  • lol no I meant it DID take a long time to render :P

I meant jaggies by either bad anti-aliasing or where the polygons stick out horribly.

  • no farm render!? how long did it take to render on your 3200, thats gotta be a painful wait for each scene.

  • Damn!

    Your pretty good on this.

    Nice job man.

  • hah, it's all just a hobby.

  • Great work

  • Oh my god!

  • wow, awesome job!

  • Hd version? Download?

    plz

  • o.O Woooaaaooow. Like like this grafic efects ^^

  • Nice! but one question why pool?

  • i have sd max 7 but i dont know how to do such a AMAZING animations........ 5/5

  • wow, awesome rendering and animation. What kind of system did you render this on btw?

  • it actually wasn't that beast of a system by today's standards. then again, the rendering times weren't so hot.

    amd 3200+ winchester OC'ed to 2.65ghz & 6800GT

  • You could make beauthyful presents animations from those :D

  • wow, 1000000000/5

  • very nice

  • i thought there was a law made against shiny spheres on flat planes in 3d animation ^^, but well done, very shiny and spherical :P

  • i think he used an image as the reflection, not an "actual" reflection.

  • at the beginning it was written 'with HDRI'..pinky and the brain

  • awesome! One of the best animations i've seen becouse its realistic.

  • Yo man that must be some insane rendering. You probably have way too much time. When i render swomething in vray like a simple image it makes hours.

  • theyre all shiny what shader program ?

  • Nifty organic animations. nice.

  • u can sell this to clubs... it will be nice to play from a projector in a dark environment.. may i know the name of the song from 03.42? it's nice...

  • nice video and cool animation.

    good work

  • lolz you press the render button and say cool... I'll check up on how its doing in a week

  • L0l 2:49 looks like "the attack of the balls" ^^ cooool too :p

  • Excellent!!! i suggest that you maybe tone down the reflection on the billiards, they dont look 2 realistic but all in all a great movie!! im gonna subscribe now =]

  • Good constructive critisism!

  • i started using max with version 7 and currently use 8, haven't touched v9.

i don't know of any sites in particular, but i'm sure you could find some with google. i strongly suggest consulting the vray help manual online. they break down every feature/option in vray and have examples.

  • actually believe it or not, it wasn't rendered on the most beast-like of systems. granted the system is water cooled, it's running an overclocked AMD 3200+ winchester at 2.65ghz (from 2.0ghz stock) and an overclocked eVGA 6800GT at 460/1260 from 350/1000 stock.

i just started college and the school gave me a laptop which is making my tower look like a basic 4-function calculator, renders things in half the time. then again, i'm studying mech engineering so they gave us monster laptops.

  • Is it posible to do that on 3ds max 6 ???

caus i tried to do that but the result is not the same...

  • are you using the latest vray renderer?

  • no, actualy the production render I use is mental ray and the default scalelinder.

I always wondered how to make all those reflects on spheres, makes them look realy awsome...

  • vray is really built for reflections and refractions. i'm not too familiar with mental ray, but i'm sure you could accomplish the same effects. it's simple and quick with vray though.

  • brialliant lighting and texturee

  • Site4Animation don't be jealous that your stuff looks like shit with no detail color or texture. Just because someone takes the time to make something look great doesn't mean you have to get jealous over it. Its 6 min. cuz usually in a demonstration you want to show off your best work, and this obviously was it. So don't be jealous just thank him for making your stuff look like shit, and i'm not saying i can do any better cuz i can't but you can't say that either.

  • I think you meant 20 MINUTES per frame.

  • what is the first song called?

    thanks

  • Right Here, Right Now

    by Fat Boy Slim

  • holy shit... thats awesome

  • site4animation is just jealous, just looked at his stuff and its rubbish. I really do wonder about people at times. Brilliant animation and excellent advert for vray. Well done.

  • awsome!

  • Nice indeed.. But 1000 hrs is insane for sure - that's why I only use scanline :)

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!!! but it's a unique render or you did several animations and then joined them? do you use physics to move the balls?

  • GOOD

  • im impressed

  • wow that was sick!

  • To the morons that keep saying the pool balls are too reflective.. THATS THE FUCKING IDEA MORONS - Hes trying to show the power of Vray and 3ds Max with his skills in Graphic Design. Shut up if u dont know shit about it, or even better lets see your work.

  • wow what an e-thug..calm down

  • that was amazing..

  • very nice, although the pool balls were a bit too reflective. i think the 3dsmax 7 part was very cool though.

  • wow... how did you do it?...

and did you have to keyframe the rolling? or did you use physics

  • oh son of a...

  • Amazing, Beautiful, Uncomparible, and te glassy textures were breathtaking.

  • very beautiful work!

  • OMG that was AMAZING, ignore the people that cant see the pure brilliance of this, so what if they are shiny, they look awesome, and i belive that that could have taken 1000 hours to render, a 3 sec, low quality thing that i have renderd in low res took me 20 min, anyway, i love this ;)

  • How the hell did that crap take over 42 days to render? I mean, it's all pretty, but A: Were you rendering it on a Commador 64? And B: Pool balls are not that shiny... Neat looking, but a waste of time... One demonstration was enough, not 6 minutes of it.

  • awesome!

  • 1000 hours??!!! =S I'm dead

  • really nice!!

  • me:* lifts jaw back off the ground* WOW truly amazing!!

  • what are those songs?

  • Wow. That's some nice use of HDRI. 1000 hours? Nasty

  • aghhh!! how do you make the glass texture, its soo bloody hard lol wiked work btw

  • that is so worth the render time

  • knoxjeff (1 week ago) marked as spam

Balls too shiny, tone it down to make it really professional looking. No motion blur? I would think 3DS could do it.

Most of the camera moves were very nice though. Most people don't have a clue about camera animation.

    --------------------------------------------------------

yeah your so dumb! this is perfect!

    i love it much love!

  • too shiny?? thats exactly what hes trying to show you moron!

    this is god awful gorgeous!

  • Balls too shiny, tone it down to make it really professional looking. No motion blur? I would think 3DS could do it.

Most of the camera moves were very nice though. Most people don't have a clue about camera animation.

  • THis is just digustingly great 3d....

  • Nicely done. Keep up the good work!

  • How long did it take you to make that?

  • can't think of any word then.. WOW

  • cool as hell! nice work man!

  • cool as fuck i dont know what half the shit is thou

  • I love it! Your work is brilliant! Oh man!! I can't imagine how long this took to render!

    Very nice!

  • I would like to know the name of the songs played in the background please?

  • Ottimo lavoro

  • muy buen manejor de este soft, Felicitaciones

  • Amazing!!! thats a lot of render time but the video is awesome.
