My band got a chance to play with MDC back in March. It was surreal to see such contributors to the early hardcore scene and what hardcore is today playing right in front of me. Especially since the band was made up of 3 out of the 4 original founding members.

this was an okay documentary but there was barely any coverage of the l.a. bands and that's where hardcore started. but this was done by some east coast goon so what do you expect.

it seems like were undergoing a similar time period now a days with the hip hop and pop genres, disco is dead but now we have katy parry and lil wayne etc.

its just now a days most people have computers which allows people to access a multitude of musical genres from anytime period, where as back then you didnt really have much to do but make your own music and do things your own way! sort of

@straightedge442 I consider myself a part of the scene. I've been going to shows since the mid-80's, bought tons of records, got tattoos all over my body, etc.... I mean, what really makes someone "punk" anyway? It's all about attitude. I am assuming you live a straight edge lifestyle. So do I. I was ridiculed all thru school for having a shaved head and being different (back in the 80's), so yeah, I was there.... Fags are anti-family, that's the main reason I speak out about homosexuality.

now i'm seeing crazy horrible(i don't give a shit tattoos) all over posers arms n backs all because they had someone put it up their rectum. It's hard to discern but then i go to a tsol show and it's the punk gang members who are a little older and beefier looking that were around. other than that, it's pointless and has little meaning anymore.
