its not down to a program, if you slowed the fames down on a normal camera you will get a very jerky view, high speed cams take more frames per second than any normal camera, then once slowed down its shows a fluid movement and not a stop go stop jerky effect you would get with far fewer frames per second, hence the title high speed camera

pps coz it's the same as it would be for a person trying to move through water vs air

ppps even if the resistance was less, it wouldn't get faster. it would just decelerate slower (slow down at a lower rate). to accelerate you have to add energy, there's no other way.

so it doesn't go faster, either its the video editing or it just looks like it is.

Hitting two cards edge on would be something. But hitting one card edge on against something as think as a bullet is easy. Try your finger.

If I knew an atom was somewhere withing a one inch radius of a point. Then moving a one inch object through that point would guarantee contact with the atom.

Very exaggerated clips. Just follow the bullet with your finger and you can tell they sped it up 3x or more when it impacts the objects for more dramatic effect. I want real clips at the same FPS throughout.

If you think about it, after a curtain point in velocity things penetrate objects without causing the object to move very much, so your idea on why they explode doesn't make sense.

I believe it is do to the sudden change in pressure when the bullet goes through the object, but I am not sure.

actually both...hehe...the extreme speed of bullet pierces the body and because the bullet goes right through it...the cavity made by it has to be filled by air in split seconds...hence the object breaks up
