Wth @ the guy saying you can take corners faster while drifting. You can take corners much faster following a proper racing line. If you try and drift corners in a race your tires will ware out much quicker causing you to pit early too.Drifting is just for show not for speed. You dont want oversteer or understeer, perfect balance is ideal. Also understeer isnt limited to FWD, alot of AWD have understeer and RWD can have it too it just depends on your suspesion set up.

its because he has a b16, and weighs around 2100lbs. while your weighing in at about 3000. stock usdm civic hatches never came with b series, I was under the impression that the best engine it could have was a 127hp d series sohc vtec. a b series hatch with bolt on's is definately much quicker then a stock lude, so your not necessarly a bad driver

...and if you knew anything about cars at all, you'd know that rwd cars can go through turns better than fwd cars. Fwd cars will understeer, Rwd cars will oversteer, but a good driver can use that to their advantage. @mexmiler ill agree on one thing... the prelude will not make a z28 look stupid. but you are also wrong in that a RWD car will handle better than a FWD. there are so many aspects that affect handling. If you think oversteer is good... your wrong, neutral steer, and complete traction is the best handling you can get and will get you the best times. I.E. look at f1 cars... people who think because its a fwd, it must not be able to handle really have never gone to the track to track their cars.

You can take corners much faster when you are using oversteer than if you try to drive through it with total traction. There are no FWD performance cars, period. All auto racing uses either AWD or RWD cars. Additionally, oversteer is ALWAYS favorable to understeer in that you can control the direction of the vehicle and the degree of the slide.

I'm not up on your alphabet soup, as far as an engine goes. I speak in cubic inches. for example, "Bob, give me a hand with this 572, its a fuckin monster"

As far as a "H- whatever" to figure out your cubic inches, take the whatever displacement it is in "liters", 1.8 or 2.0, etc and multiply that by 61, there your left with cubic inches.

One of the reasons why you dont hear anobody talking cubic inches, is because there engines are so small its embarrasing. So they go by liters!

no exhaust doesnt do shit besides change your sound, unless your engine is built, changin exhaust is almost pointless.

so for your first car, i recommend you pull out the engine, rebuild it with dome shaped pistons, a huge cam, free flowing heads, and a 750cfm carb.

Then top it off with some headers and some nice 3 inch exhaust on both sides.

That'll make a difference and your end product will be under 5 or 6 grand. Thats the fastest and cheapest way to make a N/A 12 second car.
