One thought though...in regard to your song description where you say, "if you are a christian then I say go Jesus!" I would really encourage you to not be apologizing to others about who you know Jesus to be. If people are not christian, by all means still say "go Jesus!" :)

Ah, yes, similies are often odd if you take them literally. hmm....perhaps if you think of longing and desire rather than literal-ness? I believe the song addressess the idea of doing anything to get to your true love. That's the sort of love that God pursues us with, and the sort of love you will find if you spend some time with Him. Once you get to know Him, Jesus is really quite epic and chivalrous, though a bit unconventional at times ...

Actually, what I wanted to mention was how you talk about striving for Christ not being a futile search. That's so true, even when it seems like it is--roots of faith can grow deep even when it's winter in your life. Times of waiting build character. Patience brought to completion establishes greater hope. He is faithful to meet us in our striving :)
