Emmett's a genius. Why such a guy's music should not be hugely popular is beyond my comprehension. I mean, yes, Damien's good, but Emmett's superb. Oh well, no one said there was any justice in life.

@ceaselessidleness I don't think they're in the same league at all, personally. Tinley's layered, concise sentiment always hits home moreso. I'm dumbfounded as to why he's not lauded, apart from the staunch fans, even in Ireland not to mind the UK or Europe. Surely it's a failing on a promotional level.

I agree with 'isawhiteriot' ..a classic album missed by most! How big was the crack that The Prayer Boat feel through? Polichinelle was an album released well before it's time. It is vocally, musically and lyrically fantastic from start to finish. I would love to see the Prayer Boat have another go of it and re-release the album..they'd make it big this time!

Pea brain record buying public? i admit this song and indeed the artist are amazing, i follow quite alot of atrist's who are not "in the lime light" but to insult the popular music demand of today is just very childish.

if this artist or any other artist are not in the public's top ten who's fault is that? certainly not the artist's nor is it the public's. fantastic music from fantastic people, keep supporting!!

My only wish is that it was longer! This video of course is only a fragment of the gorgeous song. However, it is good to even just get a snippet of seeing this band play. And Emmett was as beautiful when he was young as he is now!

I adore Emmett Tinley and his band The Prayer Boat. It is absolutely tragic that people are so brain-dead as to fail to see the talents of this suberb singer. I don't think I have ever heard such a beautiful voice and his sublime melodies and lyrics are literally addictive. BTW, if anyone is interested, I have written an article about Emmett on Wikipedia.
