  • I want a TDI, I'll trade my F150! lol

  • golf 3 TD mi tez odpala nawet w -25 stopniach

  • My golf done 328000 and started in -26 normal

    czy to dziwne??

  • when it's so cold you should warm it up 3 times before ignition

  • @DenuMusic The problem is not the ignition candles, the problem with these king of temperatures is that the radiator fluid might be frozen... :S I've seen engines falling apart and blowing up to pieces (no explosion of course) because the radiator fluid got frozen inside the engine refrigerating channels ..

  • @DenuMusic not true that will only shorten the battery life.all you nood to start is good glow plugs good battery and good diesel

  • my golf done 258000, and I can start it at -25 easy

  • Przy takim mrozie to wypadało by podgrzać te świeczki z dwa 2 - 3 razy elo

  • shure thing, 173000 km and old diesel ;-) good sense of humour!

  • i started my golf iii tdi this week at -16°C

    :):):)

it hadn't been used for 3 days before coldstart.

In fact, that was a real and brutal fight between engine and temperature but finnaly after about 10 seconds of rumble engine won :)

  • I started my 1994 golf 3 tdi, in -18 , but it was hard enough you know :DD

  • youve good good sparks you know...

  • my golf 1.9TD dosnt have a tach either :(...

  • change it, its just a plug and play, find from another golf and take it ;)

  • nice done revving it on cold engine

  • actually they start at colder wheather...so that means they are not PIECES OF CRAP...

  • hey i have the same car but without a tach. Do you know how your tach is connected? I know for gas cars they use the coil but diesel engines don't have coils

  • Its stock, i dont have idea how its connected, probably with some pins...

  • @DJRICH2626 There sometimes measured by a crankshaft position senor. if there is a metal toothed ring around the front of your crank shaft where the belt is, your tach may be read by that. Im not so sure about foriegn cars as im mostly a domestic mechanic, but it was worth informing you.

  • I agree whit you on the 1,9 TDI , very often very hard to start sadly

  • @mickeymoose76 : You serious ?? if your glow plugs are in order and the engine has good compression, these things start better at -40 celsius than any non-diesel car i have had !!

  • do you happen to know what "in o1" message from the dash , on the kilometer display means ?

    I have a petrol golf 3 and it shows "in o2". ?

  • first hearing about that..sorry.

  • This is the inspection service indicator. 01 for small service, 02 for a more important one. afaik 01 means oil change, check out the air filter, etc.

  • what about if its everything changed? will blink 00 or what..?btw tnx for this

  • As far aas i know, it will not change back to "IN00" by itself. You have to reset it after you have done the service on the car. For that: Turn the key on (don't start the engine), hold the odometer button, then turn the key off while still holding the button. Now press the hour button on the clock. This will reset the service reminder for an oil change. If you have an "IN 01", you must do it twice; three times for an "IN 02".

About the "thx", you're welcome, always glad to help when i can ;)
