  • Damn bro!! Your great! Thumbs up and 5 stars!

  • is that the yamaha gigmaker drumset???????

  • this is sick dude!

  • Are you left handed or right handed? its amazing how you let both hands take the lead like that in this vid and couldn't which one was more dominant.

  • he is 15 now!

  • WOW this kid can do a bosa nova!

  • Now thats talent ring those rolls on point

  • You are so good at the marching snare

  • This kid a very good muscician!!!!!

  • @oldchops is that drumset the rydeen series

  • @oldchops Awesome coordination and seperation of right/left/hands/feet... IDK how much u praticed(but for the least focused on instrument), U are defenatly a natural at carrying the time in ur head. What kind of music do u listen to for enjoyment? Just wondering I started out (@about 5 yrs old) with jazz and oldies rock and roll...

  • whoever said "thats the way the cymbals are supposed to be," theres no right or wrong way to set anything up. Its all personal preference. What ever makes you play your best. Mad props Jay, I wish I started as young as you.

  • cute

  • cute

  • Fantastic!!!

  • snoop dog feel maybe?

  • those cymbals a little high for you then?

  • @animelover3400 That's how it's supposed to be.

  • @KandyCing its just me then. they looked far from him for a minute, idk.

  • this isnt a solo its festivo

  • Kid's got great loose wrists - I just started trying to learn proper technique on the drums and this kids got it!

  • oh my..

    :OOOO

    -jaw drops-

  • Jay I wish I had as much skill as you right now

  • you are very talented!!! i would very much recomend taking up mallet instruments, primarily marimba. im sure you would be great at marimba.

  • @lentplanet He's already playing mallet instruments. There are a few videos of him playing glockenspiel and marimba.

  • well done for being his age...he should focus less on speed of drumming..and more on styles of drumming...shuffle..latin..jazz..blues...he should try exploring into those styles..:) make of video of him doing it if he does..

  • THE BEGINNING IS A BOSSA NOVA . I'M A DRUMMER TOO . AND THIS KID IS AWESOME !!!!!!

  • good bossa nova great time too

  • this kid is amazing! watch his quad solo... its intense!

  • even though this is an old video, this kids good for a young age!

  • Omazing

  • future ralph hardimon, keep it ur doing great

  • It seems like you're never proud of your son. You're always making up excuses for how he "never really applied himself" or something. This kid's awesome, no matter how long or how hard he's been working! Congrats on a truley talented kid.

  • :) He is awesome. No doubt about it!

  • YOU ARE THE MOST TALENTED PPERSON I HAVE EVER SEEN WHEN I WAS LIKE THAT AGE I GAVE UP CAUSE I HAD NO RYTHME

  • dude your so awesome better than me

  • holy shit he is fucking amazing

don't care about the 82 haters they can't do it better

    great job dude keep rocking

  • Even God Cannot Describe This Sick Kidd

  • this kid is superrr sick. and his snare solo was amazing

  • great job! You handled the single strokes at 2:20 amazingly well. It is sometimes hard to play quick single strokes and make them sound smooth and consistent. You've got some pretty good jobs, especially for a young drummer. Keep it up!

  • very fine beginnings

  • wow!

  • He is playing both right handed and left handed. Thats simply amazing

  • i know this is old, but this is REALLY good. like really impressive.

  • i know this is old, but this is REALLY good

  • It's pretty impressive that he switches his hands.

  • Yay! Bossa Nova FTW

  • His stick control at this age is uncanny. I am so damn jealous.... and I'm 19

  • who is ur teacher

  • This is awesome, does he use sheet music for his drum set studies?

  • okkkkkk doin his thing

  • i love how yu stay in tha pocket

  • if the video doesnt give a good image of him, then why do you keep it on youtube?

  • hes awsome

  • this kid is talented he just prob had a couple lessons and the first thing they teach you is jazz so anyone who dont like this kid need mental help

  • This kid has talent!(:

  • Look out Travis Barker

  • The reason he's playing like that is because he's playing a solo that was written out for him. I'd beat he gets a lot more loose when he plays from the top of his head. (free style)

  • What other 9 year old do you know that can play a Samba and play open handed keeping time so well with the left. Tell him to keep up the good work!!

  • stick to marching snare, jay..lol.

  • He's AWESOME!!! Is his talent natural or did someone teach him? And how old is he now?

  • I thinkl he's REALLY good.. for his age..

  • 1:19 my fav bit

  • The beat in the beginning was the best. After watching 5 videos im now subscribing. You are an amazing musician.

  • lol at 1:10 even though he switches hands it sounds exactly the same, i couldnt do that!

  • 1:19 was my favourite part sounded awesome!

  • major potential, just needs to practice, keep his head up, and stay focused and I believe he has the potential to be 1 of the greatest in music!

  • PISS OFF CRISPYSHIVS

  • This little guy ROCKS. Look how young he is. To say that he has no style is STUPID. He's got rhythm, and that's all you need! PISS OFF CRISPYSHIVS

  • It's cool to see him apply some things from tenors, such as the scrapes at about 0:50 seconds, you don't see much of that on drumset

  • Hey oldchops, this kid is amazing. An obvious phenom. You don't need to explain on every video as to why he's not perfect. ie "Jay didn't practice this very much" or "this was performed after a bunch of down time" or "he played this much better later on" or "this isn't his primary instrument/focus/etc" or "his choice of mallets may not have been the best", etc. Trust me, the general public knows that the kid is a total bad ass.

  • nice but you no your suppose to cross hands when your hiting the hi hat and snare

  • @camreonjo You are not "supposed" to do anything. When it comes to drumming there is no "right way to play". Everyone plays differently. When it come to the hi-hat and snare, depending on what type of music you are playing at the time, you can choose either way(open or closed). For instance, if you use the ride a lot, you should use your left hand on the hi-hat so you don't have to uncross your arms to hit it. You should think about what you are going to hit, then decide which way to play.

  • yawn this is boring

  • very nice tempo change....smooth

  • This kid has some awesome coordination using both his feet and hands at THE SAME TIME!

  • this is amazing!!!!! The only thing that he has to learn is to play the hi hat and base at the same time

  • You should just make your life drumming you'd be like rich

  • this kids got some talent

  • for not focusing on drumset much and being 11, this is pretty beast.

  • Not many people can play lefty and righty, especially at that age, this kids going somewhere

  • woah!

  • WOW!!! this is actually amazing, how old is he here?!? hard to believe that i'm at his level and i've had 6 years of lessons :O well done :)

  • Your really good

  • Great drummer, focus more on the set though, chicks dig it haha

  • awesome kid, keep up the good work :D your future is going to be bright as a drummer :O

  • Awesomedude keep druming

  • Wonder if he stole that set.

  • the beat is strong with this one :)

  • spastic hands much? lol for bein a little kid, not bad, not bad at all.

  • may be good at snare but not so much on the set.

  • Not the best it could have been but you have potential.... i suggest do a little more with your toms.

  • nice bossa but you could move your cymbals a little closer mand make it a ton easier. also work on your fillin, other then that pro!

  • very nice bossa in the begining.. not an easy thing to do..

  • proooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • that is really awesome! I love you and your video! 5/5

  • This kid is going to go somewhere in life. I saw his snare solo and quad solo.

  • i cant even do the beat on my stupid foot -_- i fail i kno shut up

  • i watched this video like a year ago and i learned the whole beat. Keep the beats comen dude.

  • awesome....lil bro keep up the good work.

  • he is far much better than any expert village guy who trying to teach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!! that is sooooo true!!!! omg they should really have a screening process for thoes videos..

  • @kmystak With Out A Dounut

  • dude you need to lower you ride so you dont strain your arm at such a young age! besides all that your relly good!

  • Dude you are the best kid drummer i have ever seen

  • NICE!

  • not badd

  • Bossa Nova!! ;)

  • i wuldnt be suprised to see this kid on tv one day

  • u need a new kit crappy sound and new cymbals meteor cymbals are crapppy i used to have them and now i have a set of wuhan cymbalsbut anyways keep practicing ur good

  • how many fuckin instruments can this kid play dam keep it up man ur lookin good

  • Thats a nice groove 6/5

  • damn

  • OMG YOUR LIEK SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME AND IM IN 7TH AND I CAN BEARLY DO THAT AND THATS WHEN YOU WERE IN 11! keep it up! your going to be famous one day!

  • keep it up Jay

  • alright i'm going to be blunt (honest) and say that it wasn't all that impressive

you are good but being a drummer myself it was mostly just beats and not an actual solo although it was just you

    but overall 3/5

  • That kid is freaking amazing!

Dude where did you get those skills from?!?

  • ur soooooooo awesome!!!

  • nice job thats great

  • That's terrible that you people are leaving video comments that have cuss words in them. Disgusting. Try to broaden your vocabulary.

Does it feel good to make fun of a little kid? I would hope not.

  • how can you call an 11 year old player a horrible one? Considering his age this is awesome!

  • VV how is he horrible ur fuckin retarded

  • Awsome beats!

  • Wow Id have to say that this kid has a very unorthodox style on the drums but he's really really good.

  • this kid is beast in his drumline videos too

    great future for u kid

  • bossanova for the win :-)

Excellent vid... your quad vids are breathtaking for the age you did them at. Keep it up!

  • just work on balancing the sounds so you have a tastier groove

  • That first beat was the first bossanova I learned too. Sick man.

  • looks like my set...except mine was a rockwood hahahah :(

  • great!

  • Im learning drums after school with my band teacher!! its soo fun!!!! Nice job!!! idk much but it sounded cool at least!

  • hey I think Jay should try jam to some music and maybe post a couple drum covers I know its not his thing but I think it would be really cool and fun. Nice job btw.

  • you should probably lower that ride down. a lot.

  • I think Jay should do a double bass pedal session. That would be very cool to hear.

    Keep up the great work!

  • good job! you sound good but one tip when u r playin some of those beats make sure to keep ur highhat foot going or put it with the snare on other beats to give it more backround and emphasis

  • Nice

  • He's good. He's not trying to drum fast. Its jazz style and Just plain rythyms. Give him a break. Picking on a kid are you? What a WINNER!

  • holy shit!!!!!!!!! at the beginning, its 4 independence.that would be famous some day.

  • This boy is one talented percussionist! If you're open for tips can I suggest something? I know this video is old and he is probably alot better, but he is a "by the book" drummer, which is a good thing in a way. But when it comes to trap set, its all about expressing yourself, and finding your click in music, from funk to jazz to rock, you can find a unique charachteristic in your technique, tuning, and placement of the drums. But this boy is extremely talented!

  • nice bossa nova at the beginning

  • the beginning is great :)

  • ohr[kkrrkr

  • I much approve of his using his left hand on the hihat. It makes more sense and shows that he is not just an uncoordinated rock drummer who cannot play anything even moderately fast with their non-dominant hand, but a percussionist who is quite coordinated and works both hands evenly.

  • im pretty sure i saw a couple of para diddles

  • he is a lot better at marching

  • Yea...tru tru
