Just because you eat mcdonalds every once in a while, it doesn't mean that you will die? That's just people who eat it everyday! Idiots... And you're body needs meat too.. That's the main way you get protein. The person that made this video must be really confused
@stephlovesu1000 Even if you eat Mcdonalds only once in a while, that is to much. The person who made the video isn't confused, you are! 32% of kids are fat... that is super gross! America NEEDS TO START EATING BETTER! Things like this happen, just ask my dead grandfather who died of obesity. He was only 60! He had eaten McDonalds about once a month. Other than that he ate healthy because he was a FRICKEN ORGANIC FARMER! Once in a while is still to much. THUMBS IF YOU AGREE!
At the end of the day, ppl are going to do whatever the hell they choose. It's great being in the know so you can make informed choices. But I'm so sure at this point most ppl know the risks. So if your behind chooses to eat Mickey D's on a regular basis then that's on YOU! McDonald's will still sell millions of burgers every year because there are lots of ppl that continue to CHOOSE to eat their food.
@EthanNin0 When I started eating vegetarian, I didn't like it either at first.
I didn't realize there is an initial adjustment period sometimes. Depending on how fast you transition is a factor.
After about a week, the vegetables and their juice started tasting real good as my body adjusted.
To my great surprise, when I would eat something I used to love like drive - thru food, it didn't taste good anymore. The healthy food actually tasted better. What??? No way!
esto lo hicieron basado en hechos reales... ya que... se dijo que una persona murió por las hamburguesas de Mc Donalds ... pero mc donalds inculpó a Burger King
this was based in a real case... a guy died eating McDonalds hamburguers and McDonalds indicted to Burger King
McDonald's needs to get with the times and offer a veggie burger. They used to have one in California and Oregon but I don't think.they still do. Burger King offers a vegetarian veggie burger in all of its stores. Try the BK Veggie burger!
@XPetiePieX so true people think meat is a death sentance when its the only way to get full protiens! veggies give you shitty partial protiens! but w.e let them miss out on delicious steaks and other meat products :)
@bobwatters Could you please explain how I've not eaten meat in 35 years and was the fastest runner in my school without all this 'full protein'? We also don't miss out on feeling guilty about being responsible for the systematic abuse, exploitation and murder of animals. P.S. I'm vegan so I don't consume eggs or dairy either. I'm going to subway! I absolutely love this video. It's so morbid yet so funny because if your some 40 year old man and your eating big macs everyday your bound to have a heart attack. I really don't like dark comedy but this is funny.
I think vegetarian/vegan is the way to go! Before going vegan, I was having gall bladder attacks and major digestive problems, weight gain around the middle, blood pressure was elevated, and my blood sugar was elevated. Once I adopted a vegan diet all these meat-related problems disappeared and I've lost 12 pounds...since April 23, 2011. It isn't for everyone as it does take a lot of determination!
@minihospy I have a vegan sub at Subway. It's wholemeal bread with lots of salad and vegetables with chilli sauce. Yum. That's not fatter. It's a hell of a lot healthier and cheape!
@marcluc1988 Wholemeal? You've been eating out of Subway's hands. ENRICHED=NOT WHOLE&it's full of corn/glucose syrups&soy. Get SOY out of your diet and you'll have a better long-term outlook. Ever considered investigating what is actually "natural" to humans, ie what made us develop such high-processing brains? Hunter-gatherers were healthier, disease-free, old&omnivorous-MEAT made us advance. Agriculture's the REAL killer-ag is very young&disease-bringing.Diet adaptations need THOUSANDS of yrs.
Red meat and fried foods have been known to cause Cardiovascular disease for decades....you may not like PCRM or the idea of a vegetarian diet but you cannot deny what has been proven through meticulous research. There are a lot of healthy meat options...I think that is the main message of this ad.
This commercial links FAST FOOD to heart disease deaths, and then jumps to the conclusion that MEAT is bad. That's called a logical fallacy. You literally learn that in Logic100. There's nothing else to say.
Really? Are you actually that ignorant? If meat is "not even slightly healthy", then I'm not exactly sure how you explain the existence of mankind. We're not exactly herbivores if you haven't noticed. But yes, let's ignore the fact that we've been living off of meat for centuries, and let's pretend that all meat is from McDonalds.
@Ilovetheboobtube Vegans are a LOT less likely to become obese and suffer far less frequently from the major modern killers. They're not saying it's impossible. Just that it's less likely.

Of course this commercial is brought to you by Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, an organization with the word "physician" in it's name that actually lacks physicians!
Para aqueles que dizem "I had McDonald's for lunch today. I died 25 minutes later." e coisa parecidas, é verdade, um hambúrguer não mata, mas eu não sinto pena nenhuma dos gordões que só comem junk food e reclamam de preconceito.
.
For those who joke with this stuff, it's ok, they may have exagerated, you can eat junk food sometimes, but believe me, I am not sorry at all for the ugly and fat people that only eat junk food and then say that they are suffering from bullying. Se ferrou, haha.
@LeGentleman1984 maybe you won't die eating a hamburger between 20 and 30 years old, but you may die just being shocked by some big news when you're 60, just because you ate a lot of hamburgers when you were between 20 and 30. true fact
Health problems attributed to the over-consumption of fast food and have nothing to do with simply eating meat. Trying to imply direct causation between the two is irresponsible and borders on propaganda. By adding the ridiculous "Tonight... Make It Vegetarian" tag on the end, they basically discredit the whole commercial.
I'm sorry I had to laugh at that because it's so true. People don't care until someone close to them dies from this. I'm tired of people blaming McD's for this. it's 2010 people. Super Size Me was a prime example of what McD's as well as other fast food chains can do to your health without will power or exercise to simply say no. I thank my mother and father for raising me on home cooking. I'll take home cooking over McD's any day.
going vegan will not save you from the effects of fast food. you can eat the french fries as a vegetarian or vegan, and that will kill you just as fast, if not faster than a hamburger. advertising a vegetarian diet as the solution is absolutely absurd. the solution is moderation and control, something that most americans are seriously lacking...
Wow, what a waste of time. McDonalds doesn't kill people and being a vegan won't prevent heart attacks. Too bad the politics of the veggie movement has clouded the real issue: people need to moderate their diets and exercise more. Eating a Big Mac now and then never hurt anyone. Well except the cows I guess.
there my be peaple who are vegetarian because they have health problems or cholesterol, but the real reason for becoming a vegetarian is simply sympathy for animals, junk food is bad, but it is a particular election, this is just an attack to bad food or mc donald, is not an uncommitted for becoming a vegetarian, vegetarians do not think that way.
there my be peaple who are vegetarian because they have health problems or cholesterol, but the real reason for becoming a vegetarian is simply SYMPATHY for the animals, junk food is bad, but it is a particular election, this commercial is just an attack on Mc Donald is not an uncommitted for becoming a vegetarian, i¨m vegetarian, the vegetarians de not think that way.
Why do black people drop whole bags of McDonlads litter out their car windows? I see it almost weekly, I do live in Baltimore so maybe it is a percentages thing.
As a health educator who specializes in nutrition, chronic disease prevention and media, I find this ad nothing but a useless scare tactic that is going to induce laughter among your desired target audience.
Not provocative enough. Should have shown all the grease in his arteries and maybe the cow being tortured and shot up with toxins. They should also think about using actors who represent the kind of people that McDonalds is killing with their toxic food products (ie, not affluent white skinny people).
misguided to say the least. why target just mcdonalds? they are one of thousands of contributors to unhealthy eating and vegetarianism does not equate a healthy diet......illconceived, reactionary adds like this only serve to discredit any goals the psa might have had.
"The pain and suffering inflicted on children by the American diet is so brutal that if it were administered with a stick, parents would be put in jail." John McDougall, M.D.
You have to be kidding me! Mcdonalds has never been the staple of any one but an idiots diet. You Vegans are nuts with your Nazi like crap this commercial was stupid blame the dead Moron not the burger. Lift weights Play basketball with your kids eat at home 99% of you meals. Blame the burger was there a gun to his head give me a break. I eat plenty of veggies but get real I and many Round the Globe Eat Meat Get over it and has a soy burger that smells like a homeless persons backside. YUM!
This is nonsense. It has very little to do with McDonalds.
When I was a child, we ate McDonalds then went home and played outside until we passed out from exhaustion. Now kids go to McDonalds then go home and play Playstation.
McDonalds isn't to blame. And you vegheads... Open a vegetarian restaurant that won't make people go broke and I'll eat there.
A McDonalds hamburger is 240 calories anyway. That is pretty low.
Buy a Big Mac today, and leave it on a shelf. You can come back for months and months and the thing will look exactly the same. Also goes for their fries. Gotta wonder what it's pumped full of.
I have not eaten at a McDonalds in over 10 years. It's garbage. The ad would be more effective without calling on everybody to be a vegan - which, plainly, is not natural for humans.
IM LOVIN IT!! About effin time that there are commercials on TV that deal with REALITY instead of shitty products which ALWAYS deliver less then they promise!! More of this! Keep Fear Alive!!
Why does McDonalds always take the brunt of fast food condemnation? It's implied that people should just stop eating there but not other fast food places. I would think Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, KFC & Jack in the Box serve food that's even worse for you. I'm no expert, but I know from my own experience their food has made me feel worse than McD's has. It seems unfair to quantify ALL fast food as McDonalds but even MORE unfair to single out McDonalds specifically.
This is a very stupid video... to say meat causes disease!? No- there is a HUGEEEE difference between Maccas meat and wild, organic meat, this clip is irresponsible - vegetarianism is NOT more healthy - but we can all agree that a Maccas burger sucks.. meat eater or vegetarian.. I mean, what if they had vego options at maccas???? WOULD THAT THEN BE HEALHTY??? NO!!! stupid video
Agreed. Check out American Dietetic Association's position on the vegetarian diet.. The truth is actually worse than this commercial hints at. Go to ADA website, then choose link for "For Health Professionals", then "Food Choices", then Vegetarian diet. You will be surprised that science backs up every word of this video.. and much more.
Great video!! I went vegetarian one year ago...lost 30 pounds....dropped my cholesterol by 30 percent.....and no more blood pressure and cholesterol medication. I want to live to see my grandchildren grow up.
ok we imagine tomorrow you arent allowed to buy meat. what will happened?
the economy will collapse. the price for wheat will fall dramatically. the poverty will rise in unimagable dimensions. millions of people will loose everything because they havent enoug money. the chaos will begin. first think about all aftermaths and than give your opinion,
everyone can choose their way of living. in this case its all about education, than you know what is good for you
and McDonald's and all these other companies that feed us chemical/poison laden/irradiated processed foods KNOW they are killing us. Our family tries to eat as healthy as possible-trying to secure whole and organic foods is expensive and not as easy to find as their junk they are selling to us and our children.
People, be responsible for your own choices. It's not that hard. If you want to eat something that is not great for you just make sure that you do so in moderation. And then compensate for it in another way. (exercise, take cholesterol reducing drugs, die) Chose your choice. I eat at McD's at least 3x a week, but I don't always eat unhealthy. They offer salads with grilled chicken, or without meat at all. And I'm not obese. ;)
BTW MacDonalds is full of Formeldahyde so they never rot away and that means it stays with in your digestive system for a long time! its toxic to your system and your kids and you think its a treat for them do you realise its killing them sooner! Organic meat reared on clean pastures and wild fish is good but this farmed drugged up food is harmful and nevermind the stuff they add that you have no clue of! on fb search boycott coke- cola to see more whats in that too!
I totally agree that McDonalds is the cause of obesity whenever I walk into one in here in Seoul and see it chock full of skinny Korean people. Oh, and the same for Duncan Donuts, Pizza hut, Krispy Kreme, and Baskin Robins. Or, maybe, instead of heaping guilt and blame on corporations, they have just learned a little SELF RESPONSIBILITY AND CONTROL (caps not for yelling, but to emphasize a point)
this video hits the nail on the head. Check the Mcdonalds Exposed video out on my channel. I got the facts from people i know who used to work there. Mcdonalds is killing people but they dont care because they have your money.
No, because I know how to eat healthy and I want to die slower. Oh, and I enjoy cooking. Was the experience just one more, ironically "real", wake-up call that I had a unique way of relating to because of what I do? Yes. From "being" dead, not from watching the ad.
Healthier, mostly meatless eating habits, fast food = trail mix and fruit, and 30 lbs later, I'm Lovin' It.
McDonald's has lost this fight before, and PCRM knows it. McDonald's: "Eat lots of our food and have fun!" PCRM: "Don't do that. Avoid fast food and meat, eat healthy (veggie), live longer. Oh, and btw, Mickey D's? Bring it." Yes, there are many others out there promoting the fast food nation without remorse, but PCRM decided to load for bear. So, judge as you will.
All I know is, if the ad was shot today, I wouldn't get the job. Because I played the dead guy?
Feet taped together for juuuuust the right angle to have the Arches superimposed. Ironically, treated like a side of beef. Consider: It was MEANT to be incendiary. Remember elementary school? "Meet me by the backstop after school" and the whispers of "fight...backstop...3 o'clock"?? You think the PCRM doesn't WANT a public fight? That they used the Arches thinking they WOULDN'T be sued? That they don't already have a cadre of pro bono vegelawyers with mountains of evidence?
Many opinions on this ad, and I see your points in most cases. Mine is from the point of view of the actor playing the dead guy. Thing is, I didn't know what the job was, just $200 to play a dead body for a day. Struggling actor. A guy. A job. Sure, my body type and age were right for what they needed, but as I laid there for 8 hrs, I realized that I WAS that guy. Whether you end up seeing these images or not, my body at one point was covered with fast food containers and cold french fries.
@Narcissisticnobody you know, if you had just said McDogfood, you would've had a legitimate joke... but by forcing all 3 syllables to be approximations of bad sounding words, you completely wrecked it
apparently you are so dumb that you don't realise that more then half of all plantations go to animals that need to be fed so that you can eat them. On average 5 kilo of soy and vegetables is needed to get 1 kilo of meat.
I still like their fries...

RngofPower 1 year ago
I'm sorry I had to laugh at that because it's so true. People don't care until someone close to them dies from this. I'm tired of people blaming McD's for this. it's 2010 people. Super Size Me was a prime example of what McD's as well as other fast food chains can do to your health without will power or exercise to simply say no. I thank my mother and father for raising me on home cooking. I'll take home cooking over McD's any day.
dj2781 1 year ago
going vegan will not save you from the effects of fast food. you can eat the french fries as a vegetarian or vegan, and that will kill you just as fast, if not faster than a hamburger. advertising a vegetarian diet as the solution is absolutely absurd. the solution is moderation and control, something that most americans are seriously lacking...
hinesea 1 year ago
It can't be legal to use Mc D's logo like that?
Why not show someone dieing from a car accident, and then the GM or Ford logo?
koldtoft 1 year ago

Not provocative enough. Should have shown all the grease in his arteries and maybe the cow being tortured and shot up with toxins. They should also think about using actors who represent the kind of people that McDonalds is killing with their toxic food products (ie, not affluent white skinny people).

You will be surprised that science backs up every word of this video.. and much more.

everyone can choose their way of living. in this case its all about education, than you know what is good for you

and McDonald's and all these other companies that feed us chemical/poison laden/irradiated processed foods KNOW they are killing us. Our family tries to eat as healthy as possible-trying to secure whole and organic foods is expensive and not as easy to find as their junk they are selling to us and our children.

waltermh111 1 year ago
People, be responsible for your own choices. It's not that hard. If you want to eat something that is not great for you just make sure that you do so in moderation. And then compensate for it in another way. (exercise, take cholesterol reducing drugs, die) Chose your choice. I eat at McD's at least 3x a week, but I don't always eat unhealthy. They offer salads with grilled chicken, or without meat at all. And I'm not obese. ;)

Because I played the dead guy?
jcb1231 1 year ago
Feet taped together for juuuuust the right angle to have the Arches superimposed. Ironically, treated like a side of beef. Consider: It was MEANT to be incendiary. Remember elementary school? "Meet me by the backstop after school" and the whispers of "fight...backstop...3 o'clock"?? You think the PCRM doesn't WANT a public fight? That they used the Arches thinking they WOULDN'T be sued? That they don't already have a cadre of pro bono vegelawyers with mountains of evidence?
jcb1231 1 year ago
Many opinions on this ad, and I see your points in most cases. Mine is from the point of view of the actor playing the dead guy. Thing is, I didn't know what the job was, just $200 to play a dead body for a day. Struggling actor. A guy. A job. Sure, my body type and age were right for what they needed, but as I laid there for 8 hrs, I realized that I WAS that guy. Whether you end up seeing these images or not, my body at one point was covered with fast food containers and cold french fries.
