ferrets are extremely playful when they are young, then, as they age, they slow down a bit, mostly by the time they are 4 they are sleeping more, and play for lesser amounts of time, but when they do play, they are still very silly and active, its that they only do it for 15 min or 1/2 hour at a time, instead of 2 hours
they are all the same kind of ferret as they are only one kind, just different colors. The dark one is called a Sable, the white is an albino, and the two others are cinnamon. They come in many colors, so if you want a dark one just look for a dark colored kit, though sometimes they do change colors when they switch their summer/winter coats, though Sable's usually stay pretty dark.

I read that it is not good to tap their nose, it makes them head shy and their noses are very sensitive, a time out or scruff is better I believe. I'm sorry to hear about your ferrets passing.

one more question...i bought some toys for the ferrets i got just they arnt super good and my budget is low...will they b ok without toys for about 1 week..i dont want them to b bored, i got em socks and balls and stuffed animals...etc. just not tubes and stuff
They'll be fine, ferrets prefer to play with you most of all, or each other , toys are secondary, most of my guys toy's are just cardboard boxes, old pill bottles filled with beans that you can shake, and they like to roll and push around, , grocery bags with the handles cut so they don't get caught in them, empty washed cans (make sure the opening is wide enough to get their head in and out easily), stuff like that, you get get tubes later. How old are your ferrets? Pet store or rescue?
ok keep in mind im 13 and have to pay for everything, i have tons of pet experience, but if i get a ferret should i get 2 or 1, if i get 2 i cant get as good as cage, but i can play with 1 just as much

I would definitly recommend getting two because one gets very lonely, they like to sleep with other ferrets to curl up with and they like to play ferret games that we can not participate in, such as running through tubes. I am actually just barely giving them a wiggle, perhaps it looks more exaggerated because they are right in the camera, but i can absolutely gaurantee you I would never be too rough with my ferrets, I adore them completely and care for them and their wellbeing immensely. yeah, they get pretty lonely on their own unless you have a lot of time for them. My first was an 'only' ferret for 10 months, then I got him some friends and haven't looked back since. They love to all play together but still love to play with me to, so that's great. love the name Loki : )

When he bites you put him back in his cage for a few minutes and then bring him back out. That's what worked for my ferret.

ferret cake! mix a half can of tuna with 1/2 jar chicken baby food and some ferratone or oil. pat into a cake. serve raw LOL yummy!!

They are EXCELLENT pets, and although they do have a faint odor, you get used to it because you fall in love with them.
You are so busy laughing and enjoying them, you subconsciously accept the odor.
Seriously, though, if something makes you happy in life, gives you unconditional love and warms up your heart, the smell is nothing.
There is a saying: "Ferrets are like Lay's Potato Chips - you can't have just one..."
They truly are: "God's little clowns."
