Ugh why would those stupid people open the door and let the water in? I hate those idiots that think they could do whatever they want. Follow orders! The staff know more than you.
Why is Doreen acting so ungrateful...she could have died...as she sits next to a hero..."the landing was violent, horrible" would she have rather the plane flipped or nose dived into the river...come on!
@lipglos1 Doreen was the most seriously injured member of the flight crew. The impact of the rear section of the aircraft was, in fact, far more violent than it was in the middle & forward sections. The coach section was flooding with icy cold water, and her leg was badly lacerated. She was loosing blood.
Guess you could have performed so much better, 'lipglos 1"??
Sully is a true leader. He makes the decision & gives the orders. Yet was the last one to get out. Even double checking to make sure no one is left behind. Then has this to say about the rescue workers, "...thank you seems totally inadequate. I have a debt of gratitude I fear I may never be able to repay." That quote is most deserving for Sully himself. But instead he gave that accolade to the rescue workers. That's a real man.
Considering what flight attendants do for a living, SAVING LIVES when dunked into the sea....they need to be more respected for god sake. They and Cpt SUlley are heroes
Captain Sullenberger is a fucking gladiator. Dude is stone-cold, all-business, balls of steel, game-face warrior. Not too many people impress me these days anymore but this guy is a fucking champion. Sully is my new dad.
Mrs Welch seems to have done a less-than-professional job. You're not supposed to be a waitress of the sky, you're not supposed to be a ditz. You're supposed to be a confident, well trained safety professional.
@iiiset A flight attendant is supposed to be "a waitress of the sky"??
Got news for ya': These are three highly experienced, well seasoned, highly trained, aviation professionals. While some people may see a flight attendant as "a waitress of the sky", these women proved themselves to be so much more.
Give Doreen a break. She was severely injured, and came close to dying. Must say, I'm left to wonder how well you would perform in her circumstances.
Is that true, some jerkoff took it upon him or herself to OPEN THE REAR DOOR???? More than that, sabotaged a member of the flight crew in order to do that? (5:00)
So help me, that attempted murderer needs to suffer indescribably. He or she should be disemboweled alive and more - if it's true. Is it? Anyone know?
I'm not sure how credible is the source, "Doreen." With all of the great and heroic accounts, this is the first I've heard of this. If true, wouldn't the craft sink fast like a rock?
i'm sure she has a lawsuit filed against the airline and her lawyer told her not to."
You should be ashamed to talk like that, especially since you didn't have to go through what she had to go through. You're not a nice person and neither are the people who gave you a thumb up.
Way to go Katie. You completely aborted what could have been a very touching and revealing interview with your forced, fake, cheshire grin and your vague, empty headed questions!
@69adrummer...you took the words right out of my mouth and head! Why this dumb-ass woman is worth so many millions a year is beyond me. Cheshire grin? You could not have said it better. She seems like a high- school sophomore who got the job interview an important person for a class project.
the lady that was at the back of the plane seems to exadurate a little. talking about water being up to her neck by the time she got out of the plane....shoving people and pushing people out of the way. Doesn't seem like she's very good under pressure. I bet she filed a law suit against the airliner too!

This is another sensationalist, base attempt to bring the ratings up. This lady in the back caught the brundt of the danger and she has every right to her feelings. When an airplane comes down on it's rear this is quite a jolt! Doreen survived something that the others did not experience. Don't let her ordeal become any less than the others. Good for you Doreen.
I think that Doreen, and perhaps other members of the crew, could benefit from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. It's an excellent means of dealing with PTSD.
I don't understand how people who nothing about flying or dealing with flight emergencies somehow consider themselves fit to sit in judgment or criticize any member of this flight crew.
@ivanuaz lol, because Sully doesn't want it all to be some sensationalized spectacle, he wants it to be seen for what it is, a team of professionals doing their job and doing it well.

Post Traumetic Stress disorder?
- Oh so you're an expert ? Do you fly ?
- Oh that's right, we just make coffee for people. Do you actually know what the training for Cabin crew involves? What would you HONESTLY know?
- If you are possessive of any desire to learn what flying entails, look up "Crew Resource Management" on Wikipedia.
- Have a nice day !

If you look at teh footage you will note that it was the rear of the plane that took the the brutal impact of an unconventional landing.
Also the footage demonstrates that INDEED the rear of the aircraft was submerged whilst the front & wing sections was afloat.
If the Lady was injured either physically or mentally because of this event then she is perfectly entitled to sue for damages.
