how many times are the poorest states going to vote in a republican?
i hope there is another Katrina and then maybe people will wake up, but I doubt it, Americans are pretty stupid.

Yeah, the South should follow the examples of big cities like Detroit and Philadelphia and vote for Democrats.
They could then impose strict gun laws and see their crime rates drop, just as it did in those cities.
They could also then increase taxes and thus see and influx of businesses and jobs.
Or they could just vote for conservatives like Jindal and see ethics reform and tax cuts.
The South should vote for Liberals, so the economic growth of states like S.C., N.C. and Georgia can stop.

this is the guy who was fighting to get creationism taught in his state... i'm not surprised he said "i voted for the energy bill to help clean up the environment - obama voted for it to help the oil companies" then he accuses obama of trying to have it both ways
