So, if this is really Dio, then great. my apologies. It doesn't sound like him to me and that scream doesn't sound like his voice. Do you know of a live clip on YT that shows him screaming high like that? This scream sounds more like Billy Idol than Dio. maybe it's just the crap recording and his age.

I spent my days doing what I did and you spent yours doing what you did. I listened Dio mostly during the early 80s when I was playing guitar and touring the US in an inconsequential top 40 band. After we broke up, I went to college to finish up a degree in computer science and worked "regular" jobs after that so I didn't listen to much in the 90s.

@Supernatural790 I'm not a Dio freak so I don't have most of his later stuff but oddly, all the Dio I've ever heard (his first 2 solo albums, rainbow, sabbath, etc) I never happened to hear even one scream where he went up screaming like a girl like this clip.

@TruthSurge whoever followed Dio with his albums and lives is a Dio freak ??? ok so you have listened till his first 2 solo albums ... the only things that come in my mind is Gypsy scream at the beggining hopefully for you if you search for it live you'll find some good screams,Mob Rules also at the beggining especially live (/watch?v=Rajfsx0sUnU but guess what there are more albums after the two solo albums ... try songs such as Wild One at the end , Lock up the wolves both studio and live

@Supernatural790 Freak as in someone obsessed with something or someone. Like "I've got all his albums and went to 153 concerts". I spent my days doing what I did and you spent yours doing what you did. I listened Dio mostly during the early 80s when I was playing guitar and touring the US in an inconsequential top 40 band. After we broke up, I went to college to finish up a degree in computer science and worked "regular" jobs after that so I didn't listen to much in the 90s.

@Supernatural790 I must have missed that Gypsy song but I don't think I actually owned that album. can't remember but I think I did not even own one dio album cuz being a guitarist I would have tried learning them and I don't recall ever copying them. But the scream at the start of Gypsy sounds like Dio and it's not like a woman's scream like on this vid. So, I'll just say wow. 50 years of singing and 3 screams. No wonder I missed them. :) see ya.

Gupsy scream in every live is not 3 screams , same for the other songs .... i could find more studio songs but i can't rememeber all the discography and all the singing parts

@halford3256 yeah, i heard a few in this vid about dio's range. they were near the end. but still, none of them sounded like this one. and this one sounded like they overdubbed Billy Idol instead of Dio. So, if it is Dio, that's the only scream I've heard that sounds like that.

Ozzy is good singer, and if you ask me, ozzy needs sabbath and sabbath needs ozzy. Im sorry, dio is my favorite singer in the world but his singing style not set to sing the original Sabbath songs, Sabbath With Ozzy and sabbath with Dio are two compleately different bands.
