  • maybe a little bit oil on the chain ?? :)

  • @simoblazersonoio yeah the chain from the PO was stock and at that point i was buying a new one anyway so i just said screw it

  • good idea ! In anycase tanks for the tutorial... I really need to change my brakes.

  • You do not need to remove the caliper from the rotor completely, only remove the bolt on the left and the top one connecting the pads. then loosen the the right one and it will slide up. the right bolt acts like a hinge. Don't forget to remove you brake fluid cap and compress the piston caliper for more room. This is actually the way the Manual and Haynes manual says to do it. and it really is way easier. It is very easy to do a great way to save money an learn how your bike works

  • @siekiersk thanks for your response, i think?

  • @siekiersk Update i was wrong. Did brakes today, you don't need to loosen the the right bolt at all. just remove the left one and top Allen bolt. and theirs no need for tread lock just torque the rear mounting bolt to (17 ft.-lb) the pad pin is supposed to be tightened to 13 ft-lb but i have no Allen adapter for my torque wrench, hand tight has never done me wrong.

  • Great video.. I'll be doing mine in the spring and this helps make sense of the service manual...

  • @dafobra Thanks man and its really pretty simple once you get going

  • this actually helped since i didnt put pressure on my brake before tightening it when i did my brake cleaning. Good vid. thanks

  • Thanks for trying to show us, but i couldnt even sit through a full minute of the horrible camera handling

  • @CAROLOGODINEZ you are very welcome. next time i will have my film crew do a better job.
