could never get past 3-5 level of sonic heroes for 5 reasons :1 didnt play it much 2 was kinda boring at first 3 was kinda hard since i didnt get used to controls 4 my game NEVER saved 5 the game always froze on 5th level :/ now i really wanna face this metal sonic on steroids

I remember when I still had the game, I read a good strategy.

For Team Rose, get one of the Team Blasts use it, then get the other one, but NOT use it, so you can give it to Chaotix. Destroy him with Big as usual, then Chaotix comes. Get the Power Cores, then Team Blast him. As usual Charmy for red, Vector for yellow wak spot. If you get Team Blast ready, don't use it, so Team Dark will have a fresh Team Blast. Then the same for Team Dark: get the cores, use Team Blast, weak spot ownage.

And for Team Dark, if you get a second Team Blast, use it, since you casn't give it to Team Sonic.

Upon defeating Egg Emperor with the last remaining team, you should have seen "Get all the Chaos Emeralds" or something like that after the credits. That's your hint.

Tell me where you heard this from, because that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard relating to this game.

Although you can play as Metallic Sonic (and everyone else) in multiplayer by holding a certain button when choosing a stage, it's not "Metal Sonic", plus Chaos doesn't even APPEAR in the game.

In addition, none of them can fly.

Browsing through IGN, I didn't find a way to report false "codes" including things like that, so I don't take anything in IGN's "Codes" sections seriously.

Honestly, does it even make sense to do something as ridiculous as do everything in 2-player to unlock a character who you never even PLAY as in the game? Not to mention that there's absolutely NO formation that Eggman could be in.

Run on top of the ceiling during special stages until you know a long trail of power spheres comes ahead, then you just collect them and dash like crazy (running on the ceiling makes you keep your distance with the emerald so it doesn't leave you behind). It works on every stage and you'll see that it's actually really easy to get all the emeralds.

The main issue I have is control...or rather, lack of it. Sometimes, the characters travel upwards to the ceiling, to the sides, to whatever, and nothing I do will remove them.

You have to keep pressing forward during the whole stage, so whenever you want to go to the right or left you press up + left or up + right. That helps A LOT.

Unless you use Team Sonic to get the emeralds, use speed to get emeralds in a row of 2 and power for rows of 3. Hold the Square button to boost instead of tapping. Also make sure you avoid any and all bombs.

I assume you mean emeralds. You need all 7 of them to be able to get 141 emblems, but it doesn't get you 141 right away. If you don't get all of them, you can only get 140 emblems max.

I used each teams' themes (Follow Me, Team Chaotix, This Machine). The last one is What I'm Made Of, but I simply increased the volume of that part.

Either use Team Rose or Team Chaotix. It can get a little triky in the last stage for all teams. So Don't get cocky.
