Actually, the slowdown comes from the GameCube version! The port wasn't done very well, so weird slowdowns and audio skips happen. The VC version is probably the closest to the original N64 game.

There's something about the dark tone and offbeat artistry that makes me love this game. I consider this the 3rd best Zelda game after LttP and WW. While Ocarina was the template of which all succeeding 3D Zeldas follow, it still lacks something overall. And trust me, I was blown away by it as much as anyone else in 1998.

In my opinion, I find Majora's Mask one of the best games in the Zelda series. I think Twilight Princess is beautiful and amazing, but the game basically leads you through. On the other hand, MM actually makes you think and figure things out on your own, something I appreciate (: It also has so many side stories packed into one major story, making the game much more expanded. Although, I gotta say, it is much more difficult x.x I enjoy it nevertheless...

Majora's Mask is so repetitive and tedious. It's nothing but a bunch of fetch quests to obtain items that you don't even use or need. Heart containers aren't important in the least because this game is so easy to the point that you'll hardly ever take more than 2 hearts of damage.

MM is one of the most overrated classic Nintendo games. If it didn't have the overrated "Zelda" labeled onto it, no one would even pay attention to this boring game.

hey FreQuenczy, did you know about the Inverted Song of Time and the Song of Double Time?

If you play Song of Time backwards in Majora's Mask, You can slow time by half, and if you play each note in the Song of Time twice, you can skip to the next night/day (night if you play it during day, and day if you are playing during night.)

I will admit when I first played this game I was disappointed that Links was not capable of reaching his adult form. I do like his adult form and voice. But to my surprise when your about to finish the game you DO is a small manner do become an adult only BADASS when you get the Fierce Deity Mask. ABSOLUTELY amazing mask, really caught me off when completing the game. Too bad you can only use it in boss battles but imaging running around the world with it. XD

@Sawtje2 in my opinion this game is more challenging than ocarina of time. alot of players are turned off by the whole time part of the game, but if you slow time down the 3 days limit should never be a problem. it's got to be one of the most emotional and unique games out of the entire series and personally it's my favorite. There's only 4 dungeons but there's tons of sidequests and every character has some sort of backstory. It's just a really deep game that builds off of ocarina of time

@1011roflcopter That was intentional, bud. The story even says that Termina (the region where MM takes place) is a parallel dimension to Hyrule (OOT). So, of course, the Ocarina characters are counterparts to the Majora characters.

If you are playing it on the gamecube, there is a solid( im 99.999% certain) reason why. It is a port, and as such, the gamecube acts as an emulator playing a MM ROM. People have proven it by taking the ROM from the disk and playing it on the n64.(99.99999% certain) So the lag is simply a few minor imcompatibility issues, probably from the switch from 64bit to 128 bits. If i am wrong, sorry for the inconvience

@RozzatheGreat Actually, this guy is wrong. The Main goal of the game is to collect 5 masks, 4 of which are in temples. When you complete a temple and defeat the boss you earn the mask, that you keep forever, even when you go back in time. By doing sidequests you earn some minor masks, which do things like make you walk faster. You never lose your masks only stuff like rupees, when you restart to the first day. But there is also a way to make the days longer, ALOT longer.
