I'd say animation has been getting much better recently. Chowder and Flapjack were the beginning of a new age of cartoons and paved the way for shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show. Now Cartoon Network has Robotomy, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Looney Tunes Show, Mystery Inc, and Young Justice, The Hub is sporting Dan Vs, Friendship is Magic, and Transformers Prime, and I'll be damned if The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes isn't good enough for kids.
@SuperSaiyanMax In my opinion, the problem with tv aren't the new toons since as you said we've been getting pretty good toons lately (as well as bad ones too, like problem solverz). The real problem is that kid stations pay little to no respect to their past (ESPECIALLY DISNEY). Recently, Cartoon Network has done good airing Looney Tunes again and has boomerang, Nick recently started a retro block on one of the channels, but Disney, don't get me started on how they schedule their shows.
Fuck modern Cartoons, I'll personally download every single cartoon I watched while I was kid for my kids that are crazy and fun.
Not some mainstream fail-stuff like Winx, Teletubies, I mean what the fuck is that shit, back in day we had Tiny Toons, Beetlejuice, Fish Police, Asterix & Obelix, Batman and what not xD
There were two actors that did it. The first one was Charlie Adler. He did it for the majority of the series (I think about 2 seasons worth). Then, after he left, John Kassir took over voicing Buster until the end of the show's run.
cartoons from the 80's - 90's were made by people that were probably drugged up quite well, and were in better touch with funnier things. Shows now teach kids to be drama queens and follow the bullshit mainstream. Watch this show now, and it's STILL funny as hell, probably even more so. Cartoons now are just trash.
sure, the people back then were WAY drugged when they made these cartoons - but like you say, there WAY better then the ones we have these times around - trying to teach kids that being hit by a car would kill you... and look at this catoon for example, there droping anvils onto each others heads! Anvils that also defy the laws of physics :D
TotalKaosE - i couldn't have said it better myself :D
@Verve001: I don't even bother with Cartoon Network or Nickoloedon. I just watch whatever I want on the internet since it actually has shows from the 90s.
who disliked this? o.e

The 90s cartoons had the guts to make fun if the government. Now the current cartoons make no reference to the american government.

Hell Yeah. Some people might not want to believe that but it's totally true.
Anybody who has done acid or shrooms can detect when they've influenced somebody else's music/art/writing/directing.

Simply put, the 1990's had the greatest shows for kids. I feel bad for kids who have to watch the garbage that's on tv these days.
