That was one of the shittiest days of my life. Only thing is John isnt really dead! just look at all the hits he gets on websites. His message of love can never die and is the soul of humanity. He believed in freedom and peace. For someone my age his music brings me back to simpler days and amazingly enough, just like baseball, the Beatles are a subject I can always talk to my kids about. I love him, the Beatles and always think we should celebrate his life not mourn his death! thanks

I was in the building and heard the shots which I thought were backfire from a truck. Leaving the building thru the service entrance on the side I saw a policeman put someone in the squad car. Not kjnowing who it was and what had actually happened, I bolted back to the store cuase I was busy. My life didnt change until I returned to the store when a coworker told me what had happened from the radio.

Some thoughts on John and the Beatles; I was born Feb 24, 1960 [so close to George] and being a fan at that early age I thought my father got me the Beatles for my Birthday! I've seen Ringo's Allstar Band and they are great. Can't afford to see Paul. But I was in attendance on that fateful day 12-08-80. I was a delivery boy at a local liqour shop delivering wine to Leonard Bernstien.
