i need the effect to create an e4 sting my idea was to have a heart effect move in the normal way then to flatline and the e4 logo come up, is this easy to do? is it simple to make? thanks

@LeBearExtrordinare Of course, you just need to add enough points to draw your text. You're going to have to do it manually though, you can't just type it out. If you however add text you can use that as a guideline to place your points.

How do you get transparent background? In my AfterEffects, the black solid is standard when I create a new composition...

@ChrisseNisseUltimate It might be shown as black, but there shouldn't be a solid by default. There's this little button under the preview window showing a grid like thingamajig. Press it to toggle from back to transparent background.

If there really were a black solid in there by default you can just select it in the timeline and delete it.

Basically.... Yes, but it would require a bit of tedious work as you would have to create all the points of every letter and put them into position. It is possible and should look pretty cool, but it'll take a bit of thinking and a few minutes.

You would create a whole lot of vertices on that curve and try to form the letters with that.

What is Adobe After Effects? Where can I get it? Is it free?

After Effects is one of the most popular video editing tools and you can buy it from the company that makes it (Adobe) or somewhere else, like an online store or your local reseller.

It's not free, unless you're using the 30-day trial, which is free and not restricted in the functions.

There's also a much cheaper student version, which only has the limitation that you can not create commercial work with it. Other than that it's just like the full thing.

Echt gutes Tutorial.Ich habe den Effekt eines Herzmonitors auf andere Weise erzeugt.Maske gezogen und dann mit dem Effekt "Strich generieren" und danach noch nen "Leuchten" und "Echo" Effekt draufgehauen.Aber mit dem "Vegas" geht´s viel einfacher.Danke dafür!!!!

Hey Kilian that was a very good tutorial and I'm sure I'm gonna use it, I already got few ideas.

I have a question, how can I create a vibration on a footage? Can I make a picture vibrate? there is a video of muse "Hyper Music"

there you can see the clip vibrate, in this case I'm sure that they are projecting the camera on a mirror which reflect the band playing and someone just move the mirror. I'm looking for a way to make it by myself using Adobe After Effect Cs3.

In the world of digital effects there's no need for methods like that ;)

The easiest way to make it all vibrate is to set a wiggle expression with extreme values.

Do you want me to explain how you would go about doing that?
