I just recently cleared out my neighbors yard which was like a small forest because she has been neglecting any yard care (I'm talking small trees, weeds the size of trees, just a horrible mess) and I didn't even think at the time, but that's PERFECT snake habitat, there were mice everywhere and places for a snake to live. We have rattlesnakes and northern copperheads here, I think I dodged a bullet, because I could have very easily come across a snake and been bitten.
