I first became aware of this song on an LP of the film "Lemon Popsicle" from the late 70's. Recently thought of it with the poularity of "Volare", hence my view. Nice video slide.

My mum came back from Formentor in 1961 with a record, a 45 rpm, which had this bloke singing two tracks on one side and someone else doing two on the other.. WE'VE STILL GOT IT..and I love listening to it. Love the guitar and piano sounds. Wouldn't you love to find a bar on the side of a rock looking out to sea with these guys playing in the background..Whhoooo! Suits, bowties and beautiful ladies all dressed like Princess Grace in To Catch a Thief. Why is everything so shit today!!!!

priapus56 , I couldn't agree more !  Where has all the "easy elegance" and relaxed charm gone ? LOVE bow ties ! I even know how to tie one from scratch ! (along with about four other knots ! "four in hand , half windsor , full windser ... ) What ever happened to putting on a freshly pressed suit and polished (!) shoes ? ! Ahhh. for those days again .

The blokes who did the two tracks on the flip side were Los Marcellos Feriel, one track of which was Quando Calieda del Sol..I think that is how its spelt. I've been in love with the bathing beauty on the E.P cover ever since I was 8. I used to dream about meeting her..but if she didn't read batman comics or play conkers I'd have been at a very marked disadvantage.

The guitaris is the great Tony Savio. If you listen to "sei bella" you will hear some briliant guitar play. If I have time I will upload that song some day.
