This is on the top of shitty youtube videos made.

@owchywawa You focused on a single barely what 5 second snippet of something she said, blew it out of proportion, and couldn't even coherently make an accusation.
Sounds like a joke to me <3 Either that, or you REALLY need to get out more.
@owchywawa Because from what I could understand of your incoherence, you debased a lot more than whatever you were trying to prove about the website, and watching the full clip is enough to suggest you... well, honestly, if I even knew what you were trying to say about the website and about what Maddow claimed, maybe I could actually suggest the full clip proved you wrong.
If you want to "expose" something about a journalist, might I suggest applying some basic facets of journalism?
wow youre retarded. you make fox look like legit news, thats how retarded your are. If your goin to try and smear someone at least learn the basic tactics. L2 logic and learn the fallacies and use them if youre goin to smear. also learn to edit your audio so you sound less retarded and use an entire idea to back up your claims not just call people liars and lol at comments.
@owchywawa I never accused you of lacking factual evidence, I merely said you suck at smearing and sound like a bigger idiot than your targets and lack the ability to string a series of thoughts together into one comprehensible idea, so apparently you lack reading comprehension skills as well. Also Maddow is not my hero because she is biased in her reporting, but you have to admit she makes a few good points from time to time and is fair in her interviews.
@ricktor002 Ok..I really don't care. She was blaming this website on the protesters at town hall rallies. Her evidence was that there was a list of town hall rallies on this website. There was no list of town hall rallies. Therefore, she lied or whoever wrote her script lied in an attempt to cover up the fact that real people protest at town hall rallies. These are the facts, whatever ad hominem fallacies you have, I don't care.
At one point you say she's paid "millions -- or thousands." Working in media, this makes me chuckle: YOU are chiding HER for poor fact checking?
You conclude with the statement, "She doesn't know what she's talking about. She's just a spokesperson for lies."
I could call your a rigid, over-simplifying name caller. But that'd make me a hypocrite. So instead I'll suggest you work with facts you know and represent them clearly, doing so minus hyperbole which undermines your credibility.
Am I wrong? In reality how much she makes is irrelevant anyway. What you are doing to me now is what the rest of the people on your side here claimed that I was doing. You are taking something which is unimportant and irrelevant (i.e. not central to my argument) and making a big deal out if it. I'm not going to look up how much she is paid because no one cares.
That is obviously not what I was talking about, but lets not discuss this here. I like to keep my discussions on topic. You can message me if you really want to talk about it. I don't really care either way.
What the backers of this movement, who are connected to the spreaders of the rumor that the health care bill will take away rights instead of give more, want is to confuse and misdirect, to cause panic so that no one can think clearly. It is irresponsible to make the leap from offering to pay for doctor counseling about end-of-life issues (which is NOT mandatory) to MANDATORY "death Panels". It is dangerous. And it is purposeful. I think it is evil.
"It is irresponsible to make the leap from offering to pay for doctor counseling about end-of-life issues (which is NOT mandatory) to MANDATORY "death Panels". It is dangerous. And it is purposeful. I think it is evil."
Look, I really don't care about either sides idiocy. Both sides are exaggerating the other side's position. Rachel Maddow did it here and I'm sure the other side did it some where else. They should not do this, but both sides do it. The only way to stop it is to stop yourself.
I watched your video and found the original segment and you make a good point--there were no town hall meetings listed on that website. But other than that minor detail, Maddow makes some frightening claims which you do not debunk, other than to say that people don't think Obama is proposing death panels. Why does Rush, Palin, Newt, Beck and Buchanan say he is? If you don't believe it, good for you, but if you listen to everything else those liars say, you are still the fool.
"Maddow makes some frightening claims which you do not debunk"
The problems is, of course, that her claims are not backed by evidence. There is no need to debunk baseless claims. I only need to show that the evidence backing the claim is not really backing the claim.
"Why does Rush, Palin, Newt, Beck and Buchanan say he is?"
They call them death panels because that is what they think they will be forced to be because of the economic situation. They don't think that is the plan.
What evidence is lacking? She points out that this "grass roots" movement is funded and organized by rich, corporate persons (an oxymoron); there is evidence of disruptive, angry behavior by these groups throughout the news; and Rush, Palin, Beck, Buchanan and the many others need to say what they mean then, because what they are saying is that Obama's administration will "kill grandma" and he is "just like Hitler".
"there is evidence of disruptive, angry behavior by these groups throughout the news"
In this segment she did not present that evidence. All she presents is this website, so all I looked at was this website. Maybe I will comment on another segment later, but my only purpose in this video was to expose the deception. Those who watch this video should be happy they know the facts now rather than the propaganda and "disinformation" she presented.
That's not deception. That's nit picking. Sorry, but "deception" is a much too big a word to use here. It didn't have the list of those town-hall meetings, it just had the list of the contacts where you can ask about them. Jeez. I'll never watch her show again.
"That's not deception. That's nit picking. Sorry, but "deception" is a much too big a word to use here."
I disagree because this was the whole foundation of her argument. This website was supposed to be evidence that republicans are causing the town hall "disruption" as she calls it. Because she is wrong, her rant about the republicans which back the site is also irrelevant.
No, and you didn't understand her argument. the list of town-hall meetings wasn't even part of it. She just argued that organizations like ressessrally claim to be "grass-root" and "non partisan" when in fact they are ran and funded by the healthcare industry and the GOP. And she did make a very good case, if only you can bring yourself to watch more than 5 seconds of her show.
"the list of town-hall meetings wasn't even part of it."
She said the site had a "list of all the town hall rallies they expect you to disrupt." Right before she showed the site she showed video of the town hall rallies and she says conservatives are "using angry crowds to take over town hall meetings." She goes on to quote conservatives on the town hall rallies... continued
Wrong. You need to see the whole segment from her show. She's just using the web page in order to introduce an astroturf organization, and goes on to prove that it is astroturf by showing who runs it, and who funds it. She DOES prove that at least some of the protesters are paid members and officials of the GOP, but that's on a different segment.
"You need to see the whole segment from her show."
I have seen it and I just summed it up.
"She's just using the web page in order to introduce an astroturf organization, and goes on to prove that it is astroturf by showing who runs it, and who funds it."
If you want to live in an imaginary world, do so, but don't attempt to being other people into it. It is blatantly obvious she was trying to link with with the town hall meetings and I don't know how I could prove it any further.
(continued) ...and says, "conveniently, the average middle class americans bringing you [the website] are actually listed at the bottom of that website." "The average middle class americans" being the people in charge of the town hall take overs. At the end of the video she says these people are "showing up at these event" (while showing a town hall meeting video) and "they are being directed" by the people who support that website. (continue)
She never said that the people who are "behind the charge of the town hall take over" show up the the events themselves. They are BEHIND IT, thank you for the quote, which does help me to prove my claim as to the actual point she was making - the list of so called "average middle class Americans" she provides includes some very wealthy people from the healthcare industry.
And they are. They are providing people with disinformation about the healthcare reform, intimidating disinformation that incites people to disrupt these town hall meetings rather than listen to what the congressmen has to say. Like that the healthcare reform is a plot to kill old people (yes, this accusation is promoted by GOP officials like Virginia Fox and Sarah Palin).
"And they are. They are providing people with disinformation about the healthcare reform, intimidating disinformation that incites people to disrupt these town hall meetings rather than listen to what the congressmen has to say."
I am not claiming there are not organizers who setup these things. All I am claiming is that she uses deception to prove her case.
"Like that the healthcare reform is a plot to kill old people"
The idea is that GHC may cause this; not that they are plotting this.
"Obama's death panel". Sorry, that sounds like an accusation of a plot. It comes from Sarah Palin, btw. It's a fact free, baseless, vile accusation, but if you get people to believe in it, they'll do exactly what they are doing: behave like a mob. Anyone using such language and spreading such lies is aware of the reaction it is likely to cause, and is therefore responsible for it. That was precisely her point. She also shows similar cases from the past - where the mob is MADE of GOP members.
You want a clearer example than "Obama's death panel"? How much clearer can you get? How about claiming that the government will decide whether or not the elderly are "worth the cost"? That's another quote from the GOP talking points. And it's all BS. It's based on hot air. It is, to put in better, clearer words: A LIE. And it's inciting and dangerous.
No, because politicians never speak like that, unless they're talking about Bin-Laden, or some other figure who's considered a bad guy by consensus. They won't dare use that direct language against the president of the USA. BTW, if Maddow's "deception" bothers you so much, why don't you write her a complaint letter? She has been known to correct herself in the past, when there was a need for correction.
But again, this wasn't her point. Her point was the organization that runs this web page and it's bogus claims of being "non partisan" and "grass-root" and "average mid-class Americans". And she did an excellent job showing just how "grass-roots" these "average mid-class Americans" are.
"Her point was the organization that runs this web page and it's bogus claims of being "non partisan" and "grass-root" and "average mid-class Americans"."
When did they claim that? The "grass-root" claim happened in response to the town hall meetings and she responded to that in the context of the website. It seems pretty obvious to me that she wanted people to go away thinking this website was organizing the town hall meetings.
When did they claim that? Look at your own post - you cite it yourself - they present themselves as "average middle class Americans", when really, they are extremely wealthy people from the healthcare industry, and major fund contributors for the GOP.
"When did they claim that? Look at your own post - you cite it yourself - they present themselves as "average middle class Americans", when really, they are extremely wealthy people from the healthcare industry, and major fund contributors for the GOP."
They were talking about the the people at the town hall meetings.
Their web page begins with "we the people"... That's astroturfing. They are presenting themselves as a grass root movement, when in reality they are speakers for the healthcare industry.
"Their web page begins with "we the people"... That's astroturfing. They are presenting themselves as a grass root movement, when in reality they are speakers for the healthcare industry."
Sigh... Seriously man...? I disagree, but this isn't what my video is about and I'm frankly tired of this discussion.
No, your video is about nit picking on small inaccuracies in what is otherwise a very fact based report. Is that the best you can get? Cause you "won't even hint to her ridiculous claims" you can't even deal with the actual substance of her report. Is it because they are "ridiculous"? Or because they are true?
"It didn't have the list of those town-hall meetings, it just had the list of the contacts where you can ask about them."
Yes, but lots of places have lists of representatives. There is no reason to believe this is the cause of the town hall disruptions, so this is not evidence for her claims. Period.
But she wasn't presenting it as an evidence of her claims. She presented the website of an organization claiming to be "non-partisan" and "grass-root movement". Than she went on to expose that organization as lobbyists for giant insurance companies, aided by the GOP. Ressessrally, BTW never attempted to hide the fact that they ARE behind the disruptions. In fact - they are proud of it. Along with other GOP affiliates, posting videos of the disruptions on their web-pages.
"But she wasn't presenting it as an evidence of her claims. She presented the website of an organization claiming to be "non-partisan" and "grass-root movement"."
She said that GOP leaders are calling the town hall meetings a "grass-root movement," but look at the website; it shows you the average middle class americans who are involved in this.
well that attempt was weak. the site is exactly as she described it. i can tell u when the next recess rally is. august 22nd people. be ready to hear some shit. its nationwide. by default, these events occur in front of each of the 1000 plus congressional offices at noon....local time. thats what this idiot didnt tell you.
"the site is exactly as she described it. i can tell u when the next recess rally is. august 22nd people."
Wrong. She said the site had a "list of all the town hall rallies they expect you to disrupt." There was no list. Yes, the site does expect you to go to "congressional offices" and protest. NOT THE TOWN HALL MEETINGS. Which is what the entire segment was about. She was trying to make it appear as if this had something to do with the town hall meetings and it did not. Deception.
So the people who are showing up at town hall meetings protesting health care reform are a completely separate group from the people showing up wherever to protest health care reform for identical reasons. That makes sense.
"So the people who are showing up at town hall meetings protesting health care reform are a completely separate group from the people showing up wherever to protest health care reform for identical reasons. That makes sense."
Oh boy. The reason they think you're mentally retarded is that you weren't able to follow the simple instructions to inventory the contributors to this organization. Had you followed along you would have noticed a 100% Republican constituency AND a top-down structure - top-down being the opposite of a bottom-up or "grass roots" organization. So you just made a video of yourself missing the point completely. High five!
"Right. You "misunderstood the purpose of this video." It's good that you can admit this."
Are you a child? Is this supposed to be an intelligent/funny response? Please do yourself a favor and use logical arguments to prove your point rather than childish things like this.
Unfortunately for the two users bellow, this video was not designed to be an example of intelligence nor a source of entertainment. My videos are merely meant to be factual. If you are one of those people who consider information regardless of the factual content, then you can vote one star you worthless junk-food american. "No, your video is about nit picking on small inaccuracies in what is otherwise a very fact based report. Is that the best you can get?"
And we are back where we started... All we will do here is repeat what was said above, so lets just end it.

She said that GOP leaders are calling the town hall meetings a "grass-root movement," but look at the website; it shows you the average middle class americans who are involved in this.

She said the site had a "list of all the town hall rallies they expect you to disrupt." What am I missing?

well that attempt was weak. the site is exactly as she described it. i can tell u when the next recess rally is. august 22nd people. be ready to hear some shit. its nationwide. by default, these events occur in front of each of the 1000 plus congressional offices at noon....local time. thats what this idiot didnt tell you.

I never claimed that.

Where was the first one? Stop using deception to prove your points.

High five!

My video wasn't about "the point." My video was about Rachel Maddow's deception. You misunderstood the purpose of this video.

Right. You "misunderstood the purpose of this video." It's good that you can admit this.

Otherwise I would love to be corrected with factual information.
