  • :) what an awesome guitarist he was .

  • randy es el mejor , es mi tercer guitarrista favorito

  • I can only imagine how hard he struggled as a guitarist. It sucks when you have short, stubby fingers.

  • Someone please could write that natural harmonics part

  • This was probably 1979. A lot of the licks were used in the Mr Crowley solos. Some were also re-used for his solo spot with Ozzy. EVH harmonic chord-tapping followed by Goodbye To Romance progression followed by volume swells which Yngwie later mastered using delay.

I never knew he had the 4-chord intro to Crazy Train already worked out!!!

This is fucking awesome! Thanks for this footage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANDY!!!!!!!!!!! (yesterday)

  • 3:25-3:35 Some tasty fuckin licks ... God damn he was good

  • Great video and my first time viewing it! You can see at a couple parts that the marshall just diidn't quite have the gain Randy needed and was mutingg out when he wanted it to sutain (typical unmodded marshall) and it's no wonder we went to the white cabs with the cascaded and extra gain to give him what he needed! :-)

  • Jeebuz this is great stuff..... Thanks a million for the upload!

  • My Idol!

  • tiene un estilo unico.... como me encanta

  • a guitarra era maior que ele...

    TE AMO RANDY!!!

  • @jhonilso Yo toco la guitarra porque de Randy.

  • @1969captainron If so, how could he have played all those Ozzy licks?

  • @thewolffebros probably because he just reused riffs he already had for Ozzy songs , happens all the time , even Kevin dubrow pointed this fact out in an interview that Rhoads used the same riffs from riot songs for Ozzy tunes, after all, they were his riffs

  • Randy's guitar went out of tune at the end lol.... i hate when that happens.... I guess he put too much on that string lol... R.I.P

  • I could replace Randy. I could further the writing he had intended before he died. I want to. I need to.

  • Did anyone catch "Goodbye to Romance"?

  • @RyanCondrey89 That was Dee. And there was also Crazy Train at 7:28

  • @Tomblazerzor Ah... Good call. Shame on me. lol

  • got damnit sound cuts on this video, i keep missing the solos lol, Randy the Great

  • only the most GODLIEST of men could pull off wearing such a gay bowtie and still shred your face off! RIP Randy!

  • @PurpleSnowFox I DID!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it pisses me off that there is a ton of footage of all the songs he performed but there is NO footage of suicide solution solo

  • @mattRRgraham1996 actually bro, if you watch this video , the one segment is note for note the suicide solution guitar solo on tribute. And there actually is footage of it , but the dudes who filmed it , did so without permission and they can't release it.

  • @guitarvideosonline haha i kno that i remember as i was just starting to listen to randy noticing that, i was like huh, he incorporated some good old QR. and laaaaaaaaaame damn it, any1 film it with permissionnn????

  • @guitarvideosonline i guess that's true, but yah know what i mean... damn stupid laws lol

  • wow, that is all I can say. Randy was ahead of his time and still stands as the best classical rock guitariest ever. RIP RANDY

  • 20 years ago randy died 20 years ago hahahaha!!

  • @guitarvideosonline Thanks.

  • wait,at the end,that was a little Crazy Train?

  • @BSlash24 Randy was born in 1956. As for this video...SO NICE to see the camera actually staying on him as he plays, ANY other video I've seen from the "Ozzy" era it is so F$%^ing annoying!!!!!!!!!!! I could care less about MEDIOCRE bass player Sarzo, I want to see RANDY TEAR UP THAT FRETBOARD! Goddamned camera focusing on Sarzo and Ozzy.....RANDY was the star of that band....always was and always will be. Guitar players are a dime a dozen, guitar VIRTUOSO GENIUSES are not. R.I.P. Randy Rhoads!

  • One of my favourite guitarists of all time and so young, incredible. Actually, Ozzy's first two solo albums are two of my favourite albums of all time. That particular era Osbourne/Rhoads/Daisley/Kerslake line up was brilliant.

  • he was born in 1955....this was around 77-78.

  • Thanks so much.....

  • 75 likes. 0 dislikes. Everybody loves Randy the great.

  • gosh.. the rest of Quiet Riot sure sucked. That is why Randy could not get off the ground with them. He then comes into Lee Kerslake and Bob Dasiley and out comes Randy!

  • Great stuff! You can hear just how influenced zakk was by him. The altamate grandfather of shredding?

  • Respond to this video... rhoads wasnt alive 20 yrs ago

  • @tate180 NO shit numb nuts, it means rhoads was 20 years old in the video , USE your brain next time, and .. If you read the gigantic comments which are blatantly and obviously visible right under the video , it explains this fact clearly.

  • why in all caps? cool video.

  • 6:42 - 6:55 Goodbye to romance

  • thanks for sharing this i was at the last show Randy played at in knoxville tn.

  • No one even still comes close

  • only 16 thousand views!!?? WTF obviously some new players out there dont kno whos solos to study and learn from.......Randy was a GOD in the guitar world!

  • @gberland and he will ever be dude

  • Can some one tell me whats the name of the segment at 3:10 I forgot the name of it , I'm trying learning his style of playing(TRYING) and I TRY to learn as many of randys "works" as posible, so if anyone can help I'd really apriciate it. :D

  • muito bom !!!

  • Most of this footage (2:13 - end) was what was used in the live solo spot in Laughing Gas on the QR Years album. Cool to see.

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.... this guy knew what to do with those 6 strings... fucking awsome guitar player... the world misses your riffs buddy... thank god you left to us some of the greates songs ever... 30 years later your music still sound like someone ripping off my ears out of my head and make my blood run and burn like gasoline
